O ur spring programme this year should please the amateurs and lovers of li�erature, art, music and cinema with interna�onal performances not to be missed. You will have the opportunity to meet Nadège Druzkowski, a Glasgow-based French ar�st, who presents her new exhibi�on “Intermi�ences”. She has also worked with Béatrice Brérot, a French poet who will do a special reading on Thursday 20 th March. Once again, we celebrate in March “la Fête de la Francophonie” with two special events. The author Thora Van Male will discuss her new book “French Idioms...and their English equivalents”. We are also delighted to welcome the ar�st and writer Franké�enne and the musician Mark Mulholland for “Chaophonies”, a musical performance which promises to be memorable. A spelling compe��on will take place in April, a great way to test your abili�es in French and win a trip to Paris! Don’t miss Hai� ’s renowned ar� st and writer Franké� enne when he brings to the AF Glasgow an electrifying performance of Chaophonies, a drama� c reading of his post-quake work, accompanied by original music composed by Hai� -based and Glasgow-born musician Mark Mulholland.

Every year in March, French speaking countries around the world celebrate ‘la Francophonie’. To mark the occasion, we are delighted to host two special events at the Alliance Française de Glasgow.

PRIVATE VIEW: As part of this event, a special reading by

French poet Béatrice Brérot will take

at 7pm at the AF Glasgow.

INTERMITTENCES is a new exhibi� on featuring pain� ngs from Glasgow-based French ar� st Nadège Druzkowski. The ar� st unveils a selec� on of artworks inspired by Marcel Proust and Alain Resnais’ 1961 fi lm Last Year in Marienbad. This free exhibi� on takes place between Tuesday 4th and Friday 28th March, and coincides with La Fête de la Francophonie, a yearly event which celebrates all aspects of the French language and culture around the world.
