Make fruit ‘pumpkin’ faces
‘Pumpkin’ mini
Some of the best ideas are the simplest! Make mini ‘pumpkins’ to decorate your Halloween party table by painting spooky faces on citrus fruit. The smaller the fruit, the simpler your design can be. Here are some ideas for faces:
Oranges, tangerines or kumquats
Tubes of writing icing
or white correction fluid
and marker pens*
*If you have invited little ones to your party you are safest using edible icing to decorate just in case they put the fruit peelin their mouths.

Crafty Cats
Glue the cat shapes on to orange card.
To make white eyes you can glue on some punched paper circles that you find in the bottom of a hole punch (or try white dabs of paint). Once dry, dot the centre of the eye in green. Decorate your cats with string or ribbon collars. Then they’re PURRRfect!
With the help of a grown up carefully cut the black card into 3 small strips. Cut a V from the top of each strip to make the cat shape.

Simple banana ghouls:
Spooky Frooties!
With the help of a grown up cut your apples into chunky slices. (HINT: Dip them into a bowl of lemon juice to stop the apple going brown.) Spread one side of the slices thickly with peanut butter and sandwich 2 together to make a mouth. Wedge the peanuts in a row for gruesome teeth. For the eye, thread a marshmallow on a cocktail stick and push into the top of the monster’s mouth. Dab a drop of melted chocolate in the centre and you have a scary Cyclops* eye. Bite-size heaven!* Cyclops was a scary Greek one-eyed giant.
Simply halve your bananas and dot on eyes and mouth with melted chocolate.
