Dear Parents,

My heartiest regards to all of you. With the sweet arrival of the winter the entire scenario in the living

world changes, colorful flowers blooms around, Mother Nature wear different attractive shades and it involves

us all in the pursuit of life. The month of November was full of events and happenings. This time there was a

great participation of our students in the 8th Annual Athletic Meet, it is giving me an immense pleasure to

share with you that Under-19 Boys and Girls and Under-17 Boys, all champions are from our Junior College,

among all senior secondary students of this campus. It was a moment to celebrate the achievements of our

students on the Children’s Day, as it was the closing Day of our Annual Sports. The 8th Annual Day Celebration

PARIKRAMA – 2017, happens to be the highest platform for the students of our institution in which many of

our junior college students made their remarkable achievements in different fronts and got many Pearlsome

Award and it’s a great pleasure to share with you all that, in all fronts of their work the students and staff

members have shown their highest involvement during the entire occasion, which make the evening a

memorable one. It happens to be time for form fill up for the second year students and now they have got the

Time Table for their Annual Board Examination- 2018, some seriousness is there in the study atmosphere. As all

the courses are completed now and revision works are in progress, our students will definitely take it as an

advantage and prepare well for their Board and all other competitive exams.

VGI, Sason celebrated its 8th Annual Athletic Meet-2017 on 13th and 14th Nov,2017 in Vikash

New Gen Park Sason, sambalpur. The Annual Athletic Meet was inaugurated by Shri. Sudhir

Pujari who was the chief Guest on the occasion. This programme began at 8:00 A.M with an

invocation song. This was followed by the welcome and inaugural speech of the Chief Guest.

The principal of VJC, Shri. S.K BABOO, VCS Shri. K.C. Sahu and VFS, Smt. V. Shailaja

addressed the students with inspiring and heart-touching words. The judges for the day were

eminent and experienced sports referees. They conducted all the track and field events of

the day with their fair and unbiased judgment. Students from VJC participated in various

events. The events kicked off with the motivating example set by the walking race. On the

closing ceremony Shri. Deepak Panda, President Sambalpur Press Club, Chief Guest, Shri. G.

Bhaskar Rao, Managing Director, VGI Guest of honour along with the esteemed principals

cherished the winners by giving the medals.

VIKASH GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS celebrated its 8th Annual Day on 19th Nov,2017 at Vikash, Sason

campus by the name of PARIKRAMA, A ROTATION AND REVOLUTION OF IDEAS. The programme

commenced at 4: P.M with the magnific arrival of the Chief Guest. Mr. D.V. SWAMI, RDC, SAMBALPUR.

Honorable Prof(Dr). Biswajit Sathpathy was the Chief Speaker on the occasion. The Function began with

the ethereal welcome song sung by the college students. Principal, Vikash Junior College, Sambalpur, Shri.

Sanjeeb Kumar Baboo presented the Annual report of the college which includes the victory and glory of

the college. The presence of D. Murali Krishna, Chairman, VGI, D. Nageswar Rao, Director of Administration,

VGI, G Bhaskar Rao, Managing Director, VGI, V Shrinivas, Director of Academics, VGI and Dr. S.N Panda,

Director VGI, integrated the glory of the evening. Dignitaries from various field were invited to the

function. The cultural programme based on the theme ‘Darkness to light’ started with the scintillating

welcome dance. The ebullient students of the school and college presented moral oriented message

through their dance. Prize distribution ceremony was held at the function to glorify the talents and skills of

the students. Various students from VIKASH JUNIOR COLLEGE were dignified with various achievement

awards. Babun Pradhan, Gurupada Dehury, Preetibarsa Dash of +2 2nd year and Aryan Prakash Mahapatra,

+2 1st Year Sc. .In his address to the audience, the chief Guest stated that he was very happy that Vikash

Group of institute motivates its students felicitating them with mementos as this serves as an impetus to

their stellar performance.

NATIONAL MILK DAY CELEBRATION

National Milk day was celebrated at Vikash Group of

Institutions, Sason, Sambalpur on 26th November 2017 in

A debate competition was organized in the auditorium on the

occasion. Students learned about the importance of Milk.
