Note From Lillian Roodveldt
The club received a very nice email from LillianRoodvelt accepting our invitation to be an
Honorary Moraga Rotary Club Member. She isfine and doing well in Scottsdale. Lillian
promises that when she gets back to California
she will surely join us for lunch. The Club Board
recently elected to send annual letters in lateJuly to all Honorary Members designated by the
Board with an attached form and a stamped
reply envelope, so we can track our HM’s and
let the HM’s have a way to let us know if they do
not want to be Honorary anymore. The clubpays a small fee for each HM annually andalthough that is not the issue, the club has
tended to just let the list of HM’s roll from year
to year.

Editor’s Corner
We just completed another very successful, busy, tiring fund raising week-end! Some might say,"Why do we go to all that work just to raise somemoney to give away to service activities?"
That recalls an old Chinese proverb that might beappropriate:
"Man must sit in chair for a long, long, long timebefore roast duck flies into room."
Moraga Rotary is a service organization, so we willnever eat roast duck by sitting on our chairs in theSoda Center! Our most sincere thanks to all whodid their share and much more for the OMPA fund-raiser!
