Wasteoilcontainsvariousunknownmaterialsandmayalsocontainrandomamountsofgasolineorothervolatilefuels.Specificsafetyandhandlingprecautionsshouldbe
consideredwhencleaning,maintainingandoperatingwasteoilheaters.
It is recommended to use a filter or some kind of strainer when pouring waste oils into the storage tank(s). This will increase chances of catching any particulates prior to the pump filter(s) to insure a cleaner fuel
source.
WARNING:Wasteoilheatersshouldnotbeusedinanyhazardousareasthatmaycontainflammableorvolatilevaporsorevencombustibledusts.Itisnotrecommendedtouseawasteoilheaterinanyareasthatmayhavechlorinatedorsimilarchemicalvapors.Thiswillcausedeterioration&corrosionofthemetalstheequipmentisconstructedof(thiswouldvoidthewarranty).Antifreezedoesnotburnandwillinterrupttheperformanceoftheunitandpotentiallyshutdowncompletelyuntilre-primedandrestarted.Iftoomuchantifreezeispresentjustlikewater,theunitwillnotfire.Donotexposeunitstowater,moistureorrain.Thisisaninside
unit, not designed for outdoor use.

Donotuseoldcontaminatedoilsorfuelsandkeepinmindundergroundtanksandoutdooroilstoragecouldhaveunknownamountsofwaterandmoisture,outsidebarrelswillleak
waterandmoisturesthroughthebunghole.
IMPORTANT:Theinstructionsandinformationwithinthismanualareprovidedtoremindyouofany
warningsandtoassureyouhaveproperlyandsuccessfullysetuptheequipmentpurchased.Theinformationisalsointendedtohelptheenduser/installerbeawareoftheoperations
and service required for optimal performance. These heaters are recommended for primary oranauxiliarysourceofheatbutarenotrecommendedforuseasthesolesourceofheatincaseofanyexpectedorunexpecteddowntimewiththeunit.Ifasteadysupplyoffuelisnotpresentorinterruptedattheburnerunit,theburnerunitwillshutdown.Beprepared
withanalternatesourceofheattoinsurethebuildingandallpipesarenotatriskoffreezingtemperatures.

Toinsurethebestperformance,optimalefficienciesandheatoutputoftheheatingunit,itisrecommendedandnecessarytobecomefamiliarwithyourunitandtheproceduresneeded
withinitiallystarting,running,cleaningandmaintainingtheheatingunit.
Itisimportanttorememberwhenburningusedordirtyoilsthatcontaminantscouldbepresent.Becauseofvariouscontaminates,beawareofneedingtochangefilterswhen
needed.Keepthechamberandheatexchanger(s)passagewaysclean.Makesurethefuelpump is primed and lines are free of any debris, air bubbles or interuptions.
Draftisjustasimportantastherest;baddraftcancauseseriousproblemsandnotallowthegasseswithintheunittocorrectlyleavetheheatingunit.Correctdraftisneededforoptimalperformance.Baddraftwillcauseover-fireoroverheatingduetobottlinguptheheator
creating back pressure back in to the heating unit. If black smoke is present, bad draft, bad combustion or both is occuring.
Improperinstallationandorneglectedmaintenancewillvoidthewarranty.Avoidingmaintenanceoftheunitcancauseoverfireoroverheatingoftheunitandpotentiallycreate
cracksinrandomweldedareasoftheheatingunit.

FUEL SUPPLY LINES• Useonly3/8”IDcoppertubingwithflarefittingsfromthetanktothefuelpumpassemblyandthefuelpumpassemblytotheheatingunit.FerrulefittingsarenotrecommendedandTeflontapeisnotneeded.UsingaTeflontapeorliquidsthatdryonthethreadsin-creasesthepotentialofcreatingapieceorflakeofthematerialthatcouldblockpassage-ways.
• Alwayskeepthefuelsuctionlineatleastsixtoeightinches(6”-8”)fromthebottomoftheoilstoragetanktopreventsuckingwaterandsludgefromthebottomofthetank.Drainwaterandsludgefromthebottomofthestoragetankwhenneeded.
• It is recommended to use an inside supply tank vs. an outside or underground tank. If pullingfromanundergroundtankitispossibleasecondarytransferpumpwouldbeneeded(NotProvided).Outsidestoragetanksorbarrelscanhavewatermixedinwiththefuelsupply.Thiswillcreateissues(NotRecommended).
• Thefuelpumpassemblythatcomesstandardwitheveryunitneedstobemountedattanklevelorbelow.Settingthefuelpumpassemblyatgroundlevelwillfunctionproper-ly.Thefuelpumpwillpushoilupto100fthorizontal&upto25ftvertical.
VENTING INSTALLATION1. When installing the vent pipe, be sure all connections are fastened correctly to insure no
leaks and proper draft is achieved. Minimum draft through the unitis,-.02-whencheck-ingthroughthesightorflameinspectionportdirectlyabovetheburnerassembly,withdraftmeter.Draftupthestackmustbe-.04to-.06inchesofwatercolumnwhencheck-ing a draft meter for proper draft readings.
2. Ifproperordesireddraftisn’teasilyachieved,athirdpartydraftinducerorpowerventmay be needed to prevent back draft from occurring (not provided).
3. Install a barometric damper (NOT included) in the stack only if the draft up the stack exceeds-.08.Draftupthestackmustbe-.04to-.06inchesofwatercolumn.Checkwithdraftmeterbetweenthetopoftheheateranddamper.The draft should be a minimum of -.02-checkedthroughflameinspectionport.
4. Keepthedraftmoving.Ifdraftistoosloworbottlesup,thiscouldcreateabackdraftandover-fireoroverheattheunit.Ifadamperispresent,losingthedamperwillincreasedraftmakesurepassagewaysarecleanandclear.

• Besurewhenprimingorbleedingthefuelpumpthatyouallowenoughtimetocompletelyburpanyandallairwithinthesystemoutofthefuelpumpandfuellines.Ifanyskipsorslightinterruptionsarestillpresentinthesystem,itislikelytheunitwillnotproperlyigniteorrunwithoutasteadyandconsistentfuelsupply.Theflamesensorneedstorecognizeflameinthechamberoritwillnotignite.
• It isnecessarytoconnectthe3/8”IDcopperfuel linefromthestoragetanktothefilterhousing, to the fuel pump inlet that is located on the same side as the bleeder valve. Once connections are secure, continue the fuel line from the fuel pump assembly to the burner assembly.
WIRING• Youwillneedtowire120vpower intothemainelectricalpanelmounteddirectlyonthebacksideoftheheatingunitwithseparate20ampcircuitprotectionusing12-gaugewire.
• Makesuretoconnectthepowerlinetotheblackwireandallwhitewireswhichareneutralorcommontogether.It’sveryimportantthatthegroundwiregetsconnectedtoamountingpointwithinthemainjunctionboxoratleastgrounded.
• Wiresfromthemainjunctionboxneedtobeconnectedtothefuelpumpassemblypower.Yellowconnectstoyellowandtheneutralorcommonconnecttogether,whichiswhitetowhite.
• Thelowvoltagethermostatneedstobewiredtothe“T”terminalsontheoilprimary,locatedonthetopoftheburnerassembly.(wirediagrampg.10)

Oil Burner TechnologyMorrHeat’swasteoilburnertechnologyimprovestheefficiencyoftheoilburnprocessbycontinuouslyburningthewasteoilwithnointeruptions.
ThewasteoilentersintotheOilPre-HeaterBlockandispre-heatedtoaspecifictemperaturesetpoint. Then compressed air from the air compressor is infusedwith the oil prior tosprayingout thenozzlebybreakingup theoil particles into afinermist or spray. Theelectrodes mounted above the nozzle provide an electrical arc across the electrodes to ignite thefineoilmistas it spraysoutof thenozzle. Once ignited theflame is forcedintoavortexcausedbytheburnersblowerandflameconeprovidingaveryefficientandthorough burn.(See page 12-13 for parts & components)

• Igniter Transformer: Supplies high voltage to the electrodes generating electrical arc igniting the oil. Transfers the high voltage from the igniter transformer to the electrodes.
• SolenoidOilValve:Openswhenburnerisrunningandcloseswhenburnerisnot running eliminating bleed back of oil out of the Pre-heater block.
• AirBand:Adjustsamountofairintroducedintothecombustionchamber.Airbandisadjustedatthefactoryforoptimumperformance,closedto1"inchopen.
• Oil Primary Control: Controls the oil burner ignition. Checks for flame inthecombustionchamber,ifnoflameisdetectedwithin45seconds,theoilprimarywillshutdowntheoilburner.Torestarttheunit,resettheredbuttonontheoilprimary.Hardlock-outmayrequireholdingtheresetfor30-45secs.
• Oil Pre-Heater Block: Pre-heats the oil and air before entering combustion chamber.
• PhotoEye:Sensesflameincombustionchamberandsignalsoilprimarywhennoflameispresent,toshutdownorlock-outthesystemfromoperating.
• AirPressureGauge:Displaysairpressuresuppliedbyonboardaircompressor.(8-14 PSI depending on unit)
• AirMuffler/Filter:Filtersairandquietsthesoundgeneratedbythecompressor.
• Pre-Heater Control Circuit Board: Controls temperature of the Oil Pre-Heater BlockandcontrolssafetyfeatureofnotallowingburnertoenergizeuntiloilhasestablishedoperatingtemperaturesetpointorshutdownburnerifPre-HeaterBlocktemperaturefallsbelowshutdowntemperaturesetpoint.

• Electrodes: Provides continuous high voltage electrical arc from electrode to electrodeignitingthewasteoilasitisbeingsprayedoutofthenozzle.
• Nozzle:Low-pressurenozzle.(3pc.andcleanable)
• FlameCone:Flameconeforcestheflameintoaswirlpatternimprovingtheflameforacompleteburn.
• BurnerMotor:Multitaskmotorturnstheburnerblowerandintegratedaircreates combustion and atomization air at the same time.
• Air Pressure Adjuster: Adjusts the air pressure going to the pre-heaterblock.Shouldbeadjustedbetween8PSIand14PSIasindicatedontheAirPressure Gauge.
• OilFilterWithHousing:Thefuelfilterwithhousingallowsaneasyspinon/offfeaturemakingitsimplewhenchangingfilters.Pre-filterstheoilpriorto the burner.
• PowerIndicator:Indicateswhenpowerispresentattheburner.
• Run Indicator: Indicates that the burner is ready for operation after the initial pre-heat, this process could take 3-4 minutes to pre-heat the system.
• Suntec/WebsterFuelPump:Singlestagefuelpumpwillpushthewasteoil25ft.vertical,and100ft.horizontal.(Alwaysrunfuellinesuptotheburner,neverdown,oryoucouldcreateanairpocketinthesystem-HardtoBleed)

Initial Start Procedure1. Make sure the heating unit and all components have been properly and securely installed.2. Checkthatallelectricalconnectionsandhook-upsareproperlywiredandconnected.3. Itisrecommendedpriortoprimingthefuelpumpandbleedingtheairtopre-fillthefuelfiltertohelpspeeduptheprocess.Forasecondarycheckyoucanalwayspressurizethefuellinestoeliminateanypotentialleaksinthelineorfittings.Consistentfuelsupplytotheburner is very important.
4. Check that venting connections are properly installed and connected from the heating unit.5. Whilefirst starting theunit itmay take severalminutes toget theoil in thepreheater
block up to temperature. Once the oil reaches the desired temperature, oil is then supplied through the fuel pump assembly and burner assembly. Make sure burner and pump are turned on.
6. Optimaldraftwhenrunningtheunitisanotherveryimportantpartoftheprocess.Besuredesireddraftisachievedwhileburnerisrunning.Ifexhaustfansarepresentinthebuilding,itispossibleyouwillneedadraftinducerorpowerventofsomekind(notprovided).
7. Thermostatmustbeoffwhilesupplyingpowertotheburnerassembly.8. Aftertheoil inthepreheaterblockhashitthedesiredtemperature,whiletheburnerisrunning,brieflyjumpthe“F”terminalsontheoilprimarytoallowtheburnertorunduringthe fuel pump and priming procedure.
9. Afterbleedingthefuelpumpandflameisestablishedattheburnerassembly,removethetemporaryjumpersonthe“F”terminalsontheoilprimarycontrol.Thisallowsthesafetyfeatures of the controls to operate properly.
10. Adjustairpressureto8-14psiifneeded.(canvaryduetogeographicarea)(presetfrommanufacturer)
11. Air band on the side of the burner assembly should be closed to 1” open (pre set from manufacturer)Opentoofarcancausedelayedstartornofire.
13. Afterproperlyrunningandallminoradjustments,ifany,aremade(presetfrommanufacturer)Checkinspectionportforbrightyellownotorangeflame.

Make sure the unit is clean prior to every heating season

Monthly:• Check the ash build up periodically for optimal performance• Removeallashwhencleaningthecombustionchamberandheatexchangers.Theviscosityandoil’sbeingburnt,cleanlinessoftheoilandruntimeplayafactorwhendeterminingamaintenanceschedule.Everyenduserwillhavealittledifferentschedulewithallfactorsconsidered for every location and application.

Twice Per Season:• Cleanorchangefuelpumpfilter.Fuelpumpcovercomesofftoaccessfilter,gasketinside

Once Per Season:• Removeashbuildupwithintheventpipe• Replacenozzleifneeded(willerodeovertime).Whenreplacingmakesurethenozzlesticksslightlypasttheendcone(1/4”pastinsideradiusofflamecone)toinsurenobuildupofoiloccursatthenozzleandflamecone.
• Checkthevanesandcarbonplates foranychips,cracksorwearwithin theonboardaircompressor, replace vanes and carbon plates if needed.
The cleaner the unit, the better it performs and longer it lasts!

Please check your shipment for any damages. If damages are apparent, either sign for the shipment as damaged goods and file a claim immediately or refuse the shipment and file a claim immediately. Nothing can be done for damaged goods that have been signed for non-damaged,theshippingcompanywilldenythoseclaimsiffiledandMorrHeatwillnotberesponsible.
Warranty is void if heating unit is improperly installed and neglected of proper routine maintenance. Warranty is also void if contaminants and corrosives have been attempted or burnt in the heating unit. Chemical’s such as, but not limited to, chlorine can deteriorate the metalswhenintroducedtohightemperatures.
