● Students arrive to JHS by 8:00 AM● From 8:00-8:06, the JHS student news show is broadcast
throughout our building. Each day, the news show ends with “Have a great day LJHS, please stay tuned for a moment of mindfulness”
● An announcement is made for students to prepare for the mindfulness activity of the day, the singing bell rings and we begin.

National Junior Honor Society
○ Membership is dependent on personal
performance as a 7th or 8th grader. Selection for
membership is approved by a Faculty Council
through an extensive review process. Selection
is based on character, leadership, citizenship,
service and outstanding scholarship with an
average greater than 94%. NJHS students MUST
volunteer and MUST be role models
Open Gym - Intramurals ○ Open gym is available for all
students 3 days a week.
Activities include Basketball,
Floor Hockey, and Weightlifting.
