Dr. Khan has over twenty six years of research / teaching

experience and was instrumental in completion of 32 major research projects in connection with applied psychology before joining the AMU. He has authored, co-authored and contributed 43 research papers in National and International Journals. He has also developed, standardized and published 12 tests/scales. He is guiding number of doctoral and post doctoral research students.

Dr. Khan has helped large number of research students in preparation of synopsis, standardization of tools, data analysis and interpretation of results over the globe. He has his proficiency in developing research protocol, data analysis using SPSS, SAS, Statistica, Stata, etc. and interpretation of results. He has organized number of workshops for Industries/Organizations/Universities/Corporate on data analysis with SPSS. He has analyzed large dataset of 108 and 100 services of Ambulance and Police respectively for informed decision.

Dr. Khan is member of many academic bodies and acting as resource person to number of institutions in India.

preparation, type of measurement and choosing

right descriptive, inferential techniques and

graphical presentation.

2. Overview 2: Data file Creation, manipulation,

Computing, Recoding, Transformation and

Conditional analysis.

3. Correlational techniques and Hypothesis testing (t

and F with MCT)

4. Parametric Test Assumptions (Normality,

Homogeneity), Simple and Multiple Regression

Analysis

5. Dummy variable and Hierarchical Regression

analysis

10. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS.

Topics to be covered

As part of a new initiative to expand research training for junior investigators engaged in academic research, we are conducting a series of research methods and data analysis based workshops. Most research work require students to develop a familiarity with methodologies outside of their home discipline. This program introduces research scholars/faculty members to key concepts, terminology and techniques in the various methodologies.

What is the importance of data analysis - instead, one should say what is not important about data analysis. Merely analyzing data isn't sufficient from the point of view of making a decision. How does one interpret from the analyzed data is more important. Thus, data analysis is not a decision making system, but decision supporting system and this initiative will help to fill the gap.

The workshop adopts a problem solving approach which would include lecture and group work sessions. The focus would be to undertake empirical research based setting which includes advanced /professional statistical techniques, overview of SPSS, data analysis and interpretation of results. Interactive learning sessions would focus on "how to do" analysis with SPSS. The workshop aims in understanding the applications and issues pertaining to Research in respective domains of participants. In addition there is a need to learn some basic principles, which require knowledge of introductory statistics and computing software with application.

This workshop will provide participants with practical experience with a variety of analysis tools to help them to make decisions appropriate to the research situation.

VISION BENEFITS TO THE INDIVIDUAL

BENEFITS TO THE RESEARCH GUIDE

• The program will benefit the participant to do data analysis and rule out dependency on Statistician.• Real data analysis and interpretation of results• SPSS software and E-book on SPSS (demo 24 ver)• Program material on 800 or so Slides• Participant's competency enrichment to uphold their market value in cut throat competitive paradigm.

• The trained research scholar will be available to

them at least two/three years to help in their

research.

• In addition, he/she will help other students in the

group for analysis and interpretation of results

• This will also help to ensure research data

integrity, which is now shared to other teacher/

outsider professionals.

• Skill development, academic progression with multi-phasic benefits to stakeholders, students, teachers and resultant university/institution ranking.
