a Microsoft community initiative
What is Microsoft Students to Business program?
The Microsoft Students to Business (S2B) program is a Microsoft
community initiative, which connects Microsoft partners and customers
with nal-year university students who plan on a career in the eld
of information technology. S2B provides students with real world
experience, enhancing their career opportunities and establishing the
skills that will benet the IT industry and fuel innovation.
The objectives ofS2B are to inspire local businesses to communicate their
needs in terms of the competency requirements for new talent and to
encourage their collaboration with Microsoft and the local universities
so that education and training provide business-ready students. The
program also provides companies with an opportunity to evaluate the
skills of students who are applying for an internship or job.
There was a gap between theneeds of the business world and the
education provided by the univer-
sities. The S2B program bridges the
gap by helping university students
to improve their practical skills at
Microsoft Partners.

the IT industry.
Companies in the IT industry
increasingly expect new recruits to
have hands-on experience as well
as a deep theoretical background.
The S2B program makes this
possible by connecting Microsoft
partner companies like yours with
universities that teach Microsoft
technologies and students who
are interested in a career involving
Microsoft technologies. By sharing
your know-how and providing
relevant work experience oninnovative projects you can enhance
the next generations value in
the job market and benet the IT
industry today and in the future.
Find qualifed trainees

Microsoft representatives fromaround the world are working
on initiatives involving students:
providing access to Microsoft
technologies, education and
training; offering opportunities
to demonstrate their skills
in Microsofts Imagine Cup
competition; and giving them the
chance to validate their skills with
Microsoft certications.
The S2B program makes it possible
for Microsoft partners to recruit
the best nal-year students or
recent graduates from leading
universities and provide them
with real experience working on
innovative projects.
Participation in the S2B program
offers a channel for partners
to communicate with local
Universities about the skills needed
to innovate and operate a People

medium sized businesses that
have standardised on Microsoft
technology will have access to the
best, most qualied students.
