Booking Conditions

The validity of the itineraries is from 01st October 2013 to 30th September 2014

The Musandam Packages below are based and quoted and are subject to availability at the time of receiving the booking confirmation.

If hotels mentioned on the itineraries are unavailable, similar category hotels will be recommended or higher category with applicable surcharge.

MDAT reserves the right to change itinerary/hotels/routing at any time without prior notice before begin or during the tour; if necessary to preserve and/or to improve the quality of the tour.

MDAT will not be held responsible for itineraries that have been issued/changed or have undergone language translations by the TO and given to guests prior to departure.

Cancellation charges will be applicable for hotels and blocking of vehicle/s if a RT is booked and then canceled 72 hours prior to tour begin and date of arrival. Any cancellation received within 72 hours, 50% package price will be applicable. No show charges and cancellation one day prior to arrival will be charged 100% package price.

All rates are NETT unless otherwise specified and are quoted in USD ($).

In case of bad weather conditions the guest can

reschedule the trip, or the tour cost will be refunded from

the package cost.

In case of non – operational flights due to the bad

weather conditions, Oman Air will provide alternate

solutions and transfers. MDAT will not be responsible for

such conditions and no claim shall be accepted.

In case the guest cancel the booked tour by himself on

arrival for any reasons whatsoever, no refund for the

cancelled tour is provided.

Please instruct the guest to carry the original passport

during all the trips.

All the tours and transfers will be on seat in coach basis.

06:00 A.M. Pick up from Dubai, Sharjah, Rak to Khasab.

Drive via Ras Al Khaimah to Khasab, along the panoramic coastal road.

Meet and assist on both borders.

Approximate time 09:00 A.M. Depart by our traditional Omani Dhow for a full-day dhow cruises to the spectacular “fjords

of Musandam”. Midway during the cruise, the dhow is anchored at famous Telegraph Island, where you can swim and

snorkel in the pleasant clear waters. Telegraph Island, is the famous location where the British laid an under -water cable

in 1864 from India to Basra, for onward communication to London . Lunch and refreshments are served on board,. There

is also a possibility of seeing dolphins along the cruise.

Khasab Resort. Pick up at 14:00 for Half Day 4WD safari to Jabel Harim.

Overnight at the Golden tulip Khasab resort on BB basis.

This tour is by a 4-wheel drive vehicle (closed and air-

conditioned). Driving is partially on winding mountain roads.

Guests on this adventure tour will be able to enjoy some of Oman‟s most

stunning sceneries. Board your 4-wheel drive vehicle and get ready for an

exciting and breathtaking trip to Jebel Harim (translated as the Mountain

of Women). With a height of 6,260 feet it is the highest peak on the

Musandam Peninsula.

During your journey to Jebel Harim, you will be able to enjoy incredible

vistas, including terraced mountain villages, lush Acacia forests and wadis

(dry river beds). Following a drive of a little over an hour, a stop will be

made at a Bedouin village located at an elevation of 3,000 feet. The

village of Sayah, surrounded by palm groves, is one of the most

picturesque villages on the Musandam Peninsula. After a stop for

photographs and to enjoy this idyllic setting continue with your drive to

Jebel Harim. There will be time to admire the

grand panorama from the mountain‟s summit.

The return drive takes you pass Khawr Najid a stunning sea

view point overlooking to Indian Ocean and then driver to Al

Khalidya Nature Park before concluding your adventure trip

back at Khasab.

DAY 2

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a full day Dhow cruise with

Dhows are motorized and very basic. There is a possibility to

swim off the dhow, but caution is advised when getting in and

out of the water via the dhow‟s ladder. Swim wear is

acceptable for this tour only. Shady seating is available aboard

the dhow.

more unusual outing. After boarding your traditional Omani

This half-day excursion provides an introduction to parts of the

Musandam Peninsula and its capital of Khasab.

Khasab Fort Visit this picturesque stronghold built in the 17th

century by the Portuguese seeking dominion over the maritime

trade in the Strait of Hormuz. The fort was erected to prevent

attacks from the sea. Teak wood from India was used for its

construction and the roof was fashioned from a

mix of palm leaves and clay. Within its low, crenellated walls,

the fort contains a large central tower which is thought to pre-

date the fort itself. The structure you see today is the result of

extensive restoration work carried out in the late 20th century.

The fort‟s location offers excellent views and photo

opportunities.

Wadi Tawi rive to Wadi Tawi where one could see the pre-

historical rock paintings depicting camel, ship, warrior etc.

8.1. Itinerary

DAY 1



Half day City tour from 11:00 AM

This half-day excursion provides an introduction to parts of the Musandam

Peninsula and its capital of Khasab.

Khasab Fort Visit this picturesque stronghold built in the 17th century by the

Portuguese seeking dominion over the maritime trade in the Strait of Hormuz.

The fort was erected to prevent attacks from the sea. Teak wood from India

was used for its construction and the roof was fashioned from a mix of palm

leaves and clay. Within its low, crenellated walls, the fort contains a large

central tower which is thought to pre-date the fort itself. The structure you see

today is the result of extensive restoration work carried out in the late 20th

century. The fort‟s location offers excellent views and photo opportunities.

Wadi Tawi rive to Wadi Tawi where one could see the pre-historical rock

paintings depecting camel, ship, warrier etc.

Half day 4WD safari to Jebel Harim from 14:30 hours

Tour is by 4-wheel drive vehicles (closed and air-conditioned).

Guests on this adventure tour will be able to enjoy some of Oman‟s most stunning

sceneries. Board your 4-wheel drive vehicle and get ready for an exciting and

breathtaking trip to Jebel Harim (translated as the Mountain of Women). With a

height of 6,260 feet it is the highest peak on the Musandam Peninsula..

During your journey to Jebel Harim, you will be able to enjoy incredible vistas,

including terraced mountain villages, lush Acacia forests and wadis (dry river beds).

Following a drive of a little over an hour, a stop will be made at a Bedouin village

located at an elevation of 3,000 feet. The village of Sayah, surrounded by palm

groves, is one of the most picturesque

villages on the Musandam Peninsula. After a stop for

photographs and to enjoy this idyllic setting, continue with

your drive to Jebel Harim. There will be time to admire the

grand panorama from the mountain‟s summit.

After enjoying the panoramic scenery of Musandam‟s

mountains, specked with fossils dating back several millions

of years, we continue our drive to Rowdah village, a

mountain settlement where one can see the pre-Islamic

graveyard.

The return drive takes you pass Khawr Najid a stunning sea

view point overlooking to Indian Ocean and then driver to Al

Khalidya nature park before concluding your adventure trip

back at Khasab.


DAY 4

Breakfast & check out of hotel. Then transfer to Khasab
