Music Video Analysis Comment on the following aspects in relation to your music video choice. (Alex Clare - Too Close) How will these techniques appeal to the target audience needs? Target Audience & needs People who are teens and above. It’s a Performance/Narrative Based music video with the Artist himself Lip-syncing the song. The music is somewhat unrelated to what the video is about. Two people fighting with wooden training swords (Fencing) but the lyrics and theme of the song make up for it. Teens love a good song that they will remember. Lyrics The Lyrics are unrelated to what’s going on in the video but they’re strong lyrics which make up for it. The lyrics are really catchy and easy to remember. The Chorus is the main part which is catchier. It’s very memorisable and it fits well the Instrumental song. Tempo The tempo starts out slow and Teens in this age like quick and fast music. The song does pick up thought near instantly towards the chorus the fighting scenes in the video also intensifies making them more faster, there is also more cuts between the speedup to show more motion. Every teen like Violence to a certain extent Genre Genre is kind of Soft Dubstep. I can’t really tell. There are two versions of the song where it’s Acoustic Camera Technique Close ups and fast panning along the shots. Editing Many cuts throughout the Music Video. Considering most of its two Sword Combatants fighting, The cuts seem as if the combat is intense with the song.
