IMPORTANT INFORMATIONYEAR 6 SHIRTSAttention Year 6 Parents/CaregiversIn the coming weeks, we will be ordering our Year 6 shirts to commemorate your child’s final year at Primary School. These shirts can be worn by students every Tuesday and Thursday.

The total cost of the shirt will be $50 and our student leaders also have the option to add their leadership position, for example ‘Captain’, to the back of the shirt for an extra $6 (making their shirts $56). In addition, student names (first & last) will also be printed on the back. A non-refundable deposit of $30 is due Friday 29 May (Week 5, Term 2).

These payments can be made in cash directly to the office, or preferably via the MSPS POP (parent online payment system) from the school website. If you choose to use the POP system please include your child’s details (including shirt size) and what the payment is for.

The full amount of the shirt needs to be finalised by Friday 12 June, (Week 7, Term 2). If you have any enquiries or concerns, please contact the school. If these payments are not finalised by Friday 12 June and no alternative pay-ment plan has been arranged, your child’s shirt will not be received.

YEAR 6 CANBERRA UPDATEAs you may have read in our previous newsletter editions, we have organised for the Canberra Excursion to take place in Week 9, Term 4 (7 - 11 December). While we understand that there may be concerns regarding COVID-19, the Year 6 excursion to Canberra is a worthwhile experience and we are hoping that things will have settled down by then and we are still able to attend later in the year. We are still taking payments and final payments are now due by Thursday 2 July (Week 10, Term 2). Please note, if the excursion is cancelled due to COVID 19 or other unforeseen circumstances, all families will receive a full refund of the amount paid. However, if parents decide to withdraw their child from the excursion, they will receive all except the $50.00 non-refundable deposit.

YEAR 5 EXCURSION UPDATEYou may have heard that excursions have been cancelled until further notice as a result of COVID-19. As our camp is in September, we are still collecting the Expressions of Interest forms along with the $50.00 (non-refundable) deposit. We have extended the due date for this deposit to Friday 5 June 2020. The Year Five Morisset Outdoor Education Centre is a worthwhile experience and we need to clarify numbers to the camp by Monday 8 June. We won’t be accepting any deposits after this date. We understand that there may be concerns regarding COVID-19 and whether or not the camp will go ahead. At this stage we are exercising under the assumption that the camp will still be going ahead. Please note, if our school or Morisset Outdoor Education Centre cancel the excursion, all families will re-ceive a full refund of the amount paid. However, if parents decide to withdraw their child from the excursion, they will receive all except the $50.00 non-refundable deposit. If you have any queries, please speak to your child’s teacher prior to Friday 5 June.

BREAKFAST CLUBMSPS Breakfast Club is open every morning from 8.45am to 9.15am in ‘The shed’. For 50c children can enjoy a piece of toast, juice, milo and cereal. Please come along if you have not had time to have brekky at home, or just want to have breakfast at South with your friends.
