My magazine inspiration

My main magazine inspirations comes from LOUD AND QUIET magazine. I love the simplicity to it, it works so well and makes the overall image so effective. I like the border that it has around the main image, it makes the mast head and image stand out well. I think that the border works well with my genre of music as it’s quite different to most magazines. I like how LOUD AND QUIET has a bold mast head in the middle, top of the cover page. It is clear to read and stands out. I think I would want to interpret that into my magazines cover page. The minimal cover lines are really effective, this adds to the simplicity of the overall image. For my magazine I want to create the simplicity that LOUD AND QUIET does as I think it works really well for my genre of music.

I’m really inspired by the photographers Juergen Teller and Terry Richardson. Both of their work is so original which I want my images to be. Teller’s use of props and backgrounds inspires me to create something different and use unusual locations while shooting for my magazine. Richardson’s use of standout facial expressions and colours also inspires me. I hope to combine the two photographers work while shooting for my magazine.
