SERUM 1000 is a formulated product, based on hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) containing surface active agents (surfactants) that break surface tension dramatically to enhance wetting. Breaking the surface tension enables Serum to penetrate deep into the sub-strate of wood and other porous materials (capillary effect).

SERUM 1000 reacts with mould (catalase enzymes) generating and releasing large quantities of oxygen. This chemical reaction generates profuse foam that boils, to the surface, organic stains (mould) and other contaminates from deep within the porous material, for removal later. This reaction also occurs with stains and oxides on surfaces such as wood, plasterboards etc. thereby brightening the appearance of the surfaces.

SERUM 1000 brings all contaminants to the surface for vacuum-ing with HEPA filtered vacuum equipment. After vacuuming, our process yields clean brightened surfaces free of organic stains and other contaminants.

The best method of application of SERUM 1000 is by airless spray-er. This will allow maximum coverage in the least amount of time, saving labor costs compared to other hand wipe methods of stain removal on the market today.

The application of SERUM 1000 does not generate and/or leave behind hazardous chemicals, does not harm surfaces not harmed by water and does not leave anything behind to gas off into the interior environment after drying.

DIRECTIONS FOR USEConsult the appropriate protocol for the specific job before us-ing this product. Wear appropriate personal protection equip-ment (PPE) before using this product. Spray a generous coating of SERUM 1000 as is, over the area to be cleaned. Allow a few minutes dwell time before proceeding. Depending on the degree of surface contamination, agitate the surface with a brush to en-sure proper penetration of the liquid. Allow a few more minutes dwell time for the SERUM 1000 to work. As the color of the stain fades, reapply SERUM 1000. As the product works, it releases oxy-gen and becomes less effective. Reapplication helps to regener-ate the bleaching and cleaning effect. After cleaning, vacuum the surfaces using vacuum equipment with HEPA filters. Vacuuming will remove all contamination boiled free of the surface.

COVERAGEOn non-porous surfaces up to 25 m2 per liter and porous surfaces as little as 8 m2 per liter depending on severity of contamination and porosity.

CAUTIONSAvoid skin contact. Do not ingest. Keep out of the reach of chil-dren. When not in use, keep container tightly closed. Store in cool, dry areas. Store at temperatures below 38°C. 1. INADEQUATE DRYING/DEHUMIDIFICATION If the moisture content in the material/surface is higher than 15% relative humidity Serum 1000 will not be able to penetrate

into the surface and reach the hyphens. This means that aftergrowth is possible.

2. INADEQUATE HEPA VACUUMING Each cm2 must be vacuumed using an effective brush. Fungal spores in any stage will release mycotoxins and dump sampling.

3. INADEQUATE CONTAINMENT ON SITE During mould remediation jobs it is very important to contain the area to avoid unwanted contamination of the surfaces which

have already been cleaned.

4. DIRECTIONS HAVE NOT BEEN FOLLOWED In most cases this means that Serum 1000 has not been reapplied on the surfaces where foam was generated. One misunder-

standing about Serum 1000 is that “more is better”. Serum 1000 is applied very generously once and then the job is continued. The problem is that no matter whether you apply a little or a lot, the product will turn into water and oxygen within 20 minutes. That is why our procedure prescribes multiple layers. ALSO, it is important to treat EVERY single cm2 in the contained areas (which may not happen) and then reapply on the foaming areas.

1. Contain the work area (for example using the ZipWall system).

2. Conduct a test on the contaminated areas.

3. Allow the area to dry down to below 15% moisture content.

4. Sweep and vacuum the area with industrial vacuum cleaner to remove debris etc. (HEPA VACUUMING IS NOT REQUIRED).

5. Apply Serum 1000 on ALL surfaces in the contained area.

6. Areas with intense foaming, severe discoloration/spots or heavy mould growth are scrubbed and then again treated with Serum 1000.

7. Wait for AT LEAST 20 minutes and then reapply Serum 1000 on the areas foaming during step 5 (repeat until there is no more foam).

8. When all areas have stopped foaming, wait until the surfaces are dry. If necessary, use a dehumidifier to accelerate the drying of the area.

9. Once the area is dry, HEPA vacuum EVERY cm2 within the contained area effectively.

10. If necessary, apply Serum 2000, Concrobium or a Fosters product.

11. Turn on the HEPA air purifiers and conduct microbial tests.

Following this procedure will mean that any home or crawl space can be cleared from day to day by just two technicians.
