About the Facilitator...
The workshop aims to assist participants in the awareness and practice of clinical skills in working with this client group. Anyone who works with
relationship problems in families or has an interest in the unique
this workshop engaging and stretching.
Mark Hayward has been employed as a Family Therapist for 28 years and has been practicing and teaching Narrative Therapy for 15 years. He has taught narrative approaches in Brazil, China, Singapore, Russia, Hong Kong, Australia and all around Europe.
This workshop will be using videotape examples from the trainer'spractice to review a number of approaches to the predicaments that face children, youth and families. Newly released videos of stories of practice
from the Michael White Archives that show how to addressproblems like ADHD, engaging children who are reluctant to speak,
addressing language that is abusive of children, avoiding impositional practice and staying decentred will be shown to the participants.
He is a faculty member of Dulwich Centre Adelaide, and a Founding Director of The Institute of Narrative Therapy in the UK.
