Universal: That those involved in scientific research may
serve the well-being of the whole human person.
Evangelization: That the unique contribution of women to
the life of the Church may be recognized always.
WORLD’S POOR COLLECTION
March 14th and 15th
This collection provides each of us with an opportunity to
change lives for over 46 million people living in poverty in
this country and abroad. The three agencies represented in
this collection are official church agencies that work to help
the poor and disabled, help themselves out of poverty. You
will have a choice to contribute to any one or all. The
Campaign for Human Development was founded to end the
cycle of poverty throughout America by funding
organizations that help individuals help themselves.
Catholic Campaign for Human Development’s grants go
towards improving education, affordable housing, and
supporting economic development in low income
neighborhoods. 25% of this collection remains in our
diocese to support local anti-poverty efforts The Catholic
Relief Services collection funds six Catholic Agencies that
work to serve Jesus on behalf of our suffering brothers and
sisters around the world, providing humanitarian aid,
resettling displaced individuals, assisting victims of human
trafficking or unjust laws. This collection allows us to see
every encounter with a suffering person as an opportunity to
help Jesus in disguise. Peter’s Pence unites us in solidarity
with Pope Francis “And you are, dear brothers and sisters,
the face of Jesus”. Your donation enables the Holy Father to
support victims of war, natural disasters, and others in need
of assistance.
Please give generously!
Green Bay Diocese Museum is open for
viewing every Sunday after 9 am Mass
NEW: WORK ORDER FORMS Please use “work order” forms to help us identify and then
inform maintenance staff of items that are in need of
replacement or repair. For instance if you see a light bulb
burned out or a door not properly functioning, etc., you may
fill out a work order form which is located in the pamphlet
rack in Bishop Wycislo Center entrance. Give the form to a
staff member, leave at keepers desk or simply place in
collection basket.

an opportunity to learn about your Cathedral. On Sunday
morning, March 8th, fifteen minutes after the 9 am
Mass concludes, meet in the center aisle and we will begin

A NOTE FROM OUR PASTOR I hope this season of Lent has been going well for everyone. Thank you for the wonderful
attendance we have had for Stations of the Cross. Our attendance was close to 90 at both Churches, with a
lot of parishioners participating at both sites. I'm delighted to see this particular version of the Stations of
the Cross as well received as in my former assignment. If you haven't yet attended, give it a try. The
meditation is very encouraging and powerful.
Remember that our morning Masses are another way to increase ones time in prayer. Morning
Masses are all at 8:30. We gather Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Cathedral, and Tuesday
and Thursday at St. John's. Let's keep one another in prayer that the Lord grant each of us a special
grace during this forty day journey in the desert. God bless. Fr. Joe

COME –WORSHIP THE LORD!
Just as our Blessed Mother found the boy Jesus in the
Temple after searching for Him everywhere, we also find
our Lord in our church in the Blessed Sacrament. Mary was
overjoyed at finding Jesus whom she thought was lost. We,
too, are filled with joy to find Him here, waiting for us to
come to Him! The invitation He extended to His disciples
2,000 years ago to spend an hour with Him is still open to
us today. We need only go to Him, accept Him, and believe
what He told us: that He is present in the Holy Eucharist;
that He can fill all our needs; that He will give us
everything we need in this life; and that He wants us to
spend eternity with Him. You are invited to spend a Holy
Hour with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration every
Wednesday between 9 am and 8 pm here at
St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.

YEAR OF CONSECRATED
LIFE
At last I have found my vocation: My vocation is
love. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
Prayer for the Year of Consecrated Life O God, throughout the ages you have called women and
men to pursue lives of perfect charity through the
evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and
obedience. During this Year of Consecrated Life, we give
you thanks for these courageous witnesses of faith and
models of inspiration. Their pursuit of holy lives teaches us
to make a more perfect offering of ourselves to you.
Continue to enrich your Church by calling forth sons and
daughters who, having found the pearl of great price,
treasure the Kingdom of Heaven above all things. Through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with
you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and
