We the members of Navodit Welfare Society

Who we are?

• Navodit Welfare Society is an initiative taken by a handful of students of social work who through their consistent efforts have been able to give this organization a concrete shape today.

“Our activities”

• Navodit startes its interventions by performing street plays in different localities of Delhi, mainly focusing on the topic of HUMAN RIGHTS,DOMESTIC VIOLENCE,HIV/AIDS,CONDOM PROMOTION & TESTING because India is the 2nd largest country where the people are affected by HIV/AIDS and it is spreading by an alarming rate.

• We link up with the people and vulnerable groups so that we can create an awareness on social issues & social evils. We are associated with B.R.Ambedkar Collage & J.M.I. Deptt of BSW.

“Our Work strategies”

• We the members of Navodit Welfare Society go and visit different communities and societies.

• We act, perform and present street plays in front of them on various social issues and social evils which has engulfed our society from time immemorial.

• We also screen different films on different social issues.• By doing this we try our level best to create an awareness

& awakening in the mind, heart, body & soul of our audience and target group.

• After that we have a discussion and workshop on the issue on which the play was acted.We also try to reach out to them and solve their problems.

• In India the problem is spreading like a uncontrollable forest fire. We need to put a check on it at the right time before its too late and we become unable to do anything about the problem.

• We need to work on the grass root level.

How we will work for your benefit?• If we get associated with you we will try our level best to

work on the grass root level. • We will be going to different communities and slums. We

will be organizing community session to create awareness about HUMAN RIGHTS,DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & HIV/AIDS.

• How it spreads and what are the precaution we should take to prevent it from further spreading to others.

• We will be performing street plays & we will be organizing workshop, as it is one of the best medium to reach out and communicate to people in an interesting way to create an awareness and awakening in them.We will also be working on CONDOM PROMOTION, DEMONSTRATION, & TESTING.

• We will be going to different schools n collages for holding WORKSHOPS ON HUMAN RIGHTS,DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & HIV/AIDS,CONDOM PROMOTION & DEMONSTRATION, & TESTING,

• We will reaching out to more & more slums, communities & vulnerable group of society.
