My name is Nayan Calsin Murdoch and I am a young, professional golfer from beautiful British Columbia.

I began my journey at the ripe age of 4, hitting golf balls into our neighbour’s backyard with my little golf club.  At 6 years of age, I became the first female golfer to join the Vancouver Junior Linkster Tour and, with much help from my dear parents, my eventual trainer, Jennifer Wyatt (Canadian LPGA Champion) and Harry White (Junior Linkster Tour Operator), I would spend the next 7 years of my young life perfecting my craft and moving towards my lifelong dream - of touring with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

During those formative years, I competed at the regional, national and international level.  I achieved 7 holes in one by the time I was 11 years old and placed top ten at the Junior World Championships four consecutive years in a row. 

It appeared that I was headed for a great career in the sport of golf and numerous newspaper, internet and tv reporters chronicled my progress.

Sadly, at the age of 13, due to circumstances out of my control, my world began to turn upside down.  By the time I was 15 I felt I had no choice but to leave the sport I had loved so much.  

In my search for new purpose, I began to explore other opportunities, studying yoga and the mind-body connection under the guidance of spiritual masters in the Bahamas, attending film school and training to become an actor - but something was always missing.

Then, in early 2017, as fate would have it, I fell critically ill. It was during my recovery that I finally realized what I had to do. Needing to work to support myself, I began to teach golf with the First Tee of Greater Vancouver and

eventually became Program Director.  This is when the passion and intensity for the sport that had escaped me in my early teenage years came rushing back.

I knew my destiny was to become one of Canada’s best young female golfers and ever since that cathartic moment in early 2017, when my life flashed before my eyes, I re-committed to fulfilling my goal of touring on the LPGA and have not stopped since.

I have been training tirelessly this year, spending countless hours at the golf course and the gym, in preparation for my rookie season as a golf professional. I have mapped out my season tournaments for 2019, and while I am eager to begin the next chapter of my journey,  I know I cannot do this alone.  For this reason I am reaching out to you, for help.

Career Objectives

2019-2020 Career Objectives:

Rookie season will include competing both locally and on the NWGA tour, Cactus Tour and Q-Series Qualifier with the goal of receiving status on the Symetra Tour for 2020. By the end of the fall season, I plan to move down South to continue training full time for the winter months, working on both my mental and physical game, in preparation for 2020.

2020-2021 Career Objectives:

My second year touring as a pro will require much concentration, dedication and effort as I continue to compete on all three tours I began in 2019-20. With the addition of every Symetra Tour Monday Qualifier I qualify for with my earned status. The primary goal of 2020 is to earn full Symetra Tour Status through the Q-Series.

2021-2023 Career Objectives:

The years following my projected earning of a Symetra Tour card will be dedicated to competing full time on the Symetra Tour with the goal of receiving full LPGA and LET tour cards by the age of 27.

children (I have a great deal of experience teaching both adults and juniors and I am able to run golf clinics/lessons for you and your clients between

Closing Statement

It takes a community of effort to provide a professional athlete the platform to realize their dreams. I have dedicated myself fully to the sport of golf and will continue to work tenaciously, making every sacrifice necessary, in order to rise to my potential and I will never give up until I reach the ultimate goal of being a successful touring pro.
