Dear Mr'; ,KJnvig*f

In response to your letter dated MarV20/87

I am sending copies of cancel cheques and receipt of

sale of two monuments and two bases \ ^Please find enclosed

a plan of the Claim Number 855995',

On Sept,26/86 we hired a crane truck to

go to our claim and removed a block of grey granite. This

block was returned to our plant west of Vermilion Bay

where we were going to do some testing to see if this

granite would be acceptable on the market as a monumental

stone and building veneer stone.

The first thing we did was put the block under

the wire saws for slabing'; it sawed very easy and there

were no blacks knots or veins in this block',

Next was the polish machinef the stone ground

and polished easyy Not much contrast in the polished

surface,

Samples were made on the diamond saw (like the

one you received)- It wasn't hard on diamonds'' could

take a deep first plung cut and didn t chip out on the

last cut through,

We cut two monuments and bases and it hand cuts

very well. One monument and base is here, We left it out all winter to see if it took in water or stained

under normal weathering^; It did not,

The other monument we shipped to our lettering

plant in Waterloo to be lettered and a carving put on*,*

I have enclosed a picture of this grey monument in our

Waterloo display, It shows a good contrast with frosted

panel and stone craves very well',

I hope this has answered all your questions ; Please

feel free to contact me at any time,

Sincerely yours '

Carolyn Nelson
