Transplant sampling

Semi tendinous sampling using an opened or closed stripper.

Sampling with a closed stripper.

Put the tibial aimer and drill the tibial cortical with a pin, then a cannulated drill.2

Positioning of th femoral aimer and drilling of a blind tunnel (30 mm) using a pin with eye and a cannulated reamer.

ORTHOMED ACF reconstruction system ensures a reproducible positioning of the tibial tunnel thanks to the anatomical criterions.(The center of the tunnel is located 7mm ahead of the PCL between the 2 tibial spines).

Insertion of the tibial aimer by the anteromedial way, 90º bended knee ( the aimer point will be placed at the base of the PCL).

Insertion of the guide pin with an angle of about 50º.

Insertion of the femoral aimer (5,6 or 7mm) by the antero-medial way (“over-the-top” position).Insertion of a drilled pin with eye, then a reamer to drill a 30mm femoral blind tunnel.

Preparation of the femoral tunnel for the A.C.F4

Drill with a pin with eye up to the femoral cortical.Remover the reamer.

Preparation of the tendon on ORTHOMED`s benchwork5

Position the transplant on the benchwork and put it in tension with the dynamometric tension system.

Insert on the pin eith eye a 4,5 or 5 mm graduated cannulated drill and drill the tunnel up to the femoral cortical.

Measure the total length of the femoral tunnel using the gauge.

After suture and calibration, put the transplant it the ACF polyester loop once the length has been found.

The length of the ACF is determined considering the difference between the total length of the femoral tunnel and the length of the femoral tunnel where we put the transplant.

Insertion of the transplant with the A.C.F. by the tibial tunnel, then fixation6

Put the transplant with the ACF by the tibial tunnel.Put the 2 sutures in the pin with eye, pull the transplant till the blind tunnel.

Once in the femoral cortical, pull one of the suture in order to tip up the ACF metallic part and pull it out of the femoral tunnel.

Tibial fixing using a MisBio® absorbable screw7

Position the flexible pin on the transplant in the tibial tunnel.Insert the MisBio® screw (length: 23, 30 or 35 mm - Ø 1or 2 mm superior to the one of the tibial tunner). Avoid any rotation of the transplant during the insertion of the absorbable screw.

Additional fixing using ligament staples (6, 8 or 11 mm).
