Fourth was hi very quick work oflaying the new eight and hix inchwater pipes from Waikolu Valley toPapaUon a distance of four tnilflthe first pipe was laid ou the lothof February thise anil the workwas roncluded on I ho 29th of MayThis work was carried on by MrFearv with only the small numberof 53 working men including at thesame time the digging and takingout of the old pipes for about threemile This work was uot only carried out in a lively manner but themain thing is its suco se and I nui tbay that there is plenty of watr tobe got at the Lper Settlement now
Fifth there is pleulv of taroplanted and growing in Waikoluvalley which is owned by the Boardof Health and whieh will come inhudy in tim s of need
