Emergency Medicine Intermountain Healthcare Wilderness Safety Expert Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Jeff Hirschi served as the Olympic ski race patrol director for the 2002 Winter Games. He worked as a mountaineering rescue patroller on Mt. McKinley at Denali National Park, search and rescue commander, and Utah Forest Service Avalanche Center backcountry observer. Dr. Hirschi graduated from medical school in 2009 and is an emergency medicine specialist in Salt Lake City.

Nursing Credit “Primary Children’s Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Western Multi-state

Division, an accredited Approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. ”Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah Nurses Associations are members of the Western Multi-State Division of the American Nurses Association.

Simulation Lab Join us for a realistic transport simulation experience between ambulance and Primary Children’s Hospital’s state-of-the-art simulation center. Sessions focus on both neonatal and pediatric care. This program provides hands-on, interactive training in cognitive and behavioral skills. Our goal is to improve clinical skills, teamwork, and communication when managing a crisis situation.

Procedure Lab The procedure lab focuses on intubations, difficult airways, umbilical lines, I.O’s, and chest tubes.
