• Interface Options:– Command Line Interface – Command Menu Interface
• Physical Options:– Fiber capability on all switches– Built-in stacking (FSM726S, FSM750S)
Management Features:– 802.1x port-based security– RADIUS authentication– Spanning Tree Protocol– Port Mirroring
• Interface Options:– Telnet– better charts, statistics
Additional capabilities the FSM products offer(why they cost so much more):

Selling Tactics
• Sell as an unmanaged switch with extra– Will be priced to fight with unmanaged products– Features there ‘just in case’– Competition does not have them!
• FS526T & FS750T– Sell on the low cost for gigabit ports– Slight premium over pure 10/100 products
• GS724T– Position against GS524T – Pay a little more to get a lot more

FAQ
• Can I create a trunk between the Smart Switches and the managed switches?– The Smart Switches use static link aggregation, the 700
series managed switches (GSM712x, FSM726x, FSM750x) use static link aggregation and the 7000 series managed switches (GSM7312/7324/7224, FSM7326P) use dynamic link aggregation. The Smart Switches can trunk with 700 series managed switch. In order to trunk with 7000 series managed switches, the 7000 series managed switches have to use version 3 firmware and enable static link aggregation mode.

Known Issues
• Some FS750T was shipped with wrong sized mounting screw. Customer called in for this issue should be directed to http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n101393.asp and submit request for correct screws.
NETGEAR CONFIDENTIAL
Known Issues
• After configured for more the 2 802.1Q VLAN, the GS724T freezes when accessing the Switch Status menu. Since the Switch Status menu is the default first page of the web GUI, logging into the web GUI will freeze up the browser. This bug is logged and being fixed.– The only way to recover currently is by factory reset the
switch. It can be done using the hardware factory reset button, or when the 1st page of the web GUI come up, click on the factory reset menu before the browser display the 802.1Q VLAN status.
NETGEAR CONFIDENTIAL
Known Issues
• The GS748T does not support flow control across the 10G bus. For example, if one of the ports from port 1 to port 24 in 1Gbps is transmitting packets to another port from port 25 to port 48 in 100 Mbps. The 1Gbps port will not receive any pauses frames.
