How to get out of a bunker:The first is to create a steep angle of attack by standing as close to the ball as is possible. This will allow you to make contact with the sand first and not the ball. Remember that you are trying to hit 1 inch behind to ball in order to “splash” it out of the bunker. Secondly the ball position should be forward in the stance, opposite the leading foot. Again this will help you to strike the sand first and also to create a higher launch. Finally and most importantly, “FOLLOW THROUGH”. I cannot stress enough how important this is to escaping from the bunker.By John Dolan @ Letterkenny
