Baitul Futuh Region

Distribution of “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص “

This activity was organised on September 14th

,

2014. One hundred & eleven Ansãr from ten Majalis

set up 23 Stalls. Five hundred & fifty five people

visited these stalls. “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”, “Pathway to Peace” & “The Holy Qur’an” were distributed on this occasion.

Different literature was also distributed to more

than 1,350 people. While appreciating our efforts

many visitors showed a keen interest and wanted to

know more about our community.

Visit to villages & cities

The region organised another Tabligh activity on

September 27th

, 2014. Fifty three Ansãr from six

Majalis visited allocated villages and cities. Five

Majalis of the region visited the next day. “Life of

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”, “Pathway to Peace”, “The Holy

Qur’an” & various literature was distributed.

More than 337 people visited our nine stalls. “Life of

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”, “The Holy Qur’an”, “Pathway to

Peace” and other literature was picked by visitors.

Additionally, mixed literature was also distributed to

more than 1,000 people during our tabligh activity.

A couple from Ireland and two other ladies showed

a keen interest to receive more information about

our community and expressed their desire to visit

our mosque.

Exhibition at Wallington Library by Majlis

Sutton

This exhibition was organised from October 14th

to

18th

. Two hundred and fifty people visited this

exhibition. Seventy books were distributed including

one copy of The Holy Qur’an & forty copies of “Life

of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”. Seven new contacts were

obtained.

, 2014. There were 25

visitors, eleven books & literature on various topics

North West Region

Regional Tabligh Days & distribution of

book, “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”

Eight Majalis namely, Manchester North, South, East

and West, Bolton, Preston, Blackburn and North

Wales setup stalls at different places on September

27th & 28th. Majlis Preston got a chance to set up

the stall in Blackpool whereas Manchester East and

West organised their stalls in Manchester City

Centre. Stockport Majlis did not have its own stall

but members helped and joined with Majlis

Manchester West. Majlis Liverpool arranged an

exhibition and a stall at The World Museum.

Thirty eight Ansãr participated while four Atfãl

joined them at Bolton and North Wales. Our

members were able to distribute 853 leaflets, 97

books and obtained 28 contacts. Liverpool Majlis

provided a separate report about their exhibition in

The World Museum which is reproduced below

under a separate heading.

Exhibition at World Museum Liverpool

A day long successful exhibition was organised in

World Museum Liverpool. The Exhibition was in

front of the Theatre Hall. World Museum Liverpool

is an important place where thousands of tourists

come from all over the world and we had the

opportunity to spread the message of PEACE from

Liverpool to other parts of the world. More than 200

people from different faiths and professions visited

our exhibition. We introduced Islam & Ahmadiyyat

and highlighted our activities to establish peace in

the world. Light refreshments, drinks, chocolates

were offered to the guests. We were able to

distribute 25 books, 200 mixed leaflets, 50 mixed

literature & 50 badges. Fourteen people left their

contact details for further correspondence.

Eid Milan Party by Majlis Huddersfield

This event took place at Baitul Tauhid, Huddersfield

on Sunday October 12th

, 2014. After Tilawat,

Regional Missionary Maulana Sabahat Karim Sahib

welcomed the guests. After introducing

Ahmadiyyat/Islam he mentioned that it was

important for Muslims to look after their

neighbours, hence we were hosting an Eid Party for

our neighbours to break down any barriers and

exhibit kindness & generosity to our neighbours.

Guests were then invited to ask questions. The first

question was related to Muslim extremists in Syria?

Murrabi Sahib explained that the media had a big

part in our lives. They focus on these extremists

who claim to be Muslims. People don’t need to look

at these Muslims, as they can look at their

neighbours in this country. Muslims are playing a

positive role in this society and helping people.

Every religion teaches the same thing which is to

make man a better person and to create a better

society.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s Exhibition for Peace

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Peterborough

organised an exhibition at King’s Lynn High Street, King’s Lynn on Sunday, October 12th

, 2014.

The exhibition attracted a lot of public attention.

Over 30 translations of The Holy Qur’an in various

African, Asian and European languages were on

display. Various posters and banners were

explaining the peaceful message of The Holy Qur’an.

This was the second successful event of its kind in

King’s Lynn as a similar event was organised by us

last year. Judging the response of the public & also

due to current world crisis there was a dire need to

educate public about the true message of Islam. We

explained that terrorists have nothing to do with

Islamic teachings. “Loyalty to one’s nation is a part of Islamic faith”. Over 50 individuals contacted us to

learn about Islamic teachings regarding terrorism

and about Jama’at-e -Ahmadiyya.

An interesting incident occurred during the

exhibition. A Kurdish brother visited our stall. He

was briefed about the Ahmadiyya movement in

Islam. During the discussion he was amazed that we

were doing all this on a voluntary basis. He could

also witness individuals from 4 different

nationalities present at the exhibition. He expressed

the following views about exhibition

“A very good exhibition around King’s Lynn, very

useful and helpful to Muslims and non-Muslims

around the area. I believe this is what Islam needs in

current times, MOST APPRECIATED”.

He brought lot of food at the exhibition out of his

sheer kindness & generosity for all of us.

Four persons bought English translation of The Holy

Qur’an. We distributed 18 copies of “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص” and “Pathway to Peace”.

Cheque Presentation Ceremony South

Oxfordshire District Council

On October 16th

a delegation of Ansãr visited South

Oxfordshire District Council and met Cllr. Mrs. Ann

Midwinter. The purpose of this visit was to present

a cheque for £500 to the Chairman’s charities, i.e., “Royal British Legion Women's Section”. The legion

was formed just after the end of the First World

War to help service women and their dependents.

The charity is still providing needed welfare.

also for distribution to other councillors.

Cheque Presentation Ceremony Aylesbury

Vale District Council

On October 15th

a delegation of Ansãr called on Cllr.

Michael Rand, the Chairman of the council to

present a cheque for £500 to his charity namely

“PACE and the Stroke Association.” PACE provides

help to children with cerebral palsy; the Stroke

Association provides help and support to people

who have suffered a stroke.

A brief introduction of Jamaat was delivered before

the full council meeting. Cllr. Rand was also

presented with a copy of “The Holy Quran” and books “Pathway to Peace” and the “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”.

All 59 Aylesbury district councillors were also gifted

with these 2 books at the end of the full council

Cheque Presentation at Wycombe District Council

On October 20th a delegation of Ansãr visited

Wycombe District Council to present a cheque for

£500 to the Chairman’s chosen charity, “Kids in

sport”. This charity supports children to participate

in sport who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity. The Cllr & the Chairman of the charity

were pleased to receive “The The Holy Qur’an”, “Pathway to Peace” and the “Life of Muhammad

Eid party by Majlis West Hill

Thirty guests attended this Eid Party which was

hosted in the garden of Zaeem Majlis on August

23rd

, 2014. Guests had the opportunity to mingle

with our members, learning more about Jamaat and

enjoying the delicious BBQ food. This was the first

time for most of the guests to socialize and learn

about each other including the religion. A stall was

also set-up for guests.

The party was organised by eight Ansãr, four Lajna

and a Tifl.

Majlis Ansãrullah Clapham

Majlis Clapham organised Qur'an Exhibition on

October 15th. Ch. Waseem Ahmad Sahib, Sadr

Majlis Ansarullah UK graciously presided the

meeting, Ataul Mujeeb Rashid Sahib, Imam Fazl

Mosque and Missionary In-charge UK, delivered the

keynote address and answered questions. A video

film, "Introduction to Ahmadiyya Community" was

also shown on this occasion. Total attendance was

37 including 18 guests. Prominent figures were Mr

Phil Jew, CEO of Wandsworth Citizens Advice

Bureau, Mr Aaron Harbour, Director Katherine Low

Settlement and Mr Tony Sanders, Director Caius

House. Twelve contacts were received. Sadr Sahib

Majlis Anasarullah UK presented a copy of “The Holy

Qur’an”, “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص” and “Pathways

to Peace” to Mr Phil Jew. Participants visited the

exhibition and picked different books and literature.

Eid Fete by Majlis Putney

This Eid Fete was organised on August 25th

in the

garden of Zaeem Majlis. Neighbours in the

immediate and adjoining streets were invited. This

posed a challenge as most neighbours had planned

to go out due to bank holiday. However, we still

received 30 confirmations.

On the day of the event, we were met with another

challenge in the shape of heavy downpours which

were set to continue throughout the day. This had

the potential to turn the day into a damp squib but

with earnest prayers and a letter to Huzur Aqdas for

the success of the event, the rain turned out to be a

blessing in disguise as additional 40 persons turned

up, having cancelled their other plans due to rain,

pushing the total number of attendees to 70.

Host Ansãr with the guests

The guests enjoyed the food which was evident

from their compliments and a huge admiration for

accommodating 70 people in a residential house,

which was a surprise for most of them

Guests also brought gifts, cards and flowers for the

host. It was a great opportunity to meet the

neighbours and enjoy discussion on social and

religious issues. Thirty five guests left their contact

details.

Tabligh Day in Central London

It was decided to celebrate The Holy Prophet’s ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

day on September 21st

, 2014. For this purpose

Central London was selected, where the

concentration of public is higher than elsewhere.

Areas covered by our teams were Edgware Road,

Oxford Street, Knightsbridge, London History

Museum, Shepherds Bush and Raynes Park. By the

grace of Allah, 577 books of “Life of Muhammad

were distributed along with 28 other books on ”ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

our 31 stalls. In total, 552 people visited our stalls

and 8,530 leaflets were distributed, 160 Ansãr from

13 Majalis participated in this successful event.

Distribution of leaflet by members of Majlis

North East Region

Presentation of Cheque to Mayor of

Todmorden

Todmorden is approximately 18 miles away from

the nearest Majlis Huddersfield South. It is a small

market town in Calderdale, West Yorkshire and lies

on the border between West Yorkshire and

Lancashire. The Mayor of Todmorden Town Council,

Councillor Mr Michael Gill was contacted by Arif

Ahmad Sahib, Zaeem of Spen Valley. Although

initially surprised, he was delighted to accept the

donation for £500 for one of his chosen charities,

“Independent Living Todmorden”. This charity helps

and encourages adults with learning disabilities to

integrate into the local community.

The presentation £500 cheque as donation to

Mayor was arranged at Todmorden Town Hall

before the town council meeting in the evening of

22nd October 2014. A short address was given by

Arif Ahmad Sahib highlighting the charity activities

of Majlis Ansãrullah and the Ahmadiyya Muslim

Jama’at. In addition, the purpose behind the donation – that is to support small, local charities

was also explained. Mayor thanked & showed us

around the town hall and the mayor’s parlour.

We met Mr Mayor, Madam Mayoress and Mrs.

Sandra Peach, who is the local charity co-ordinator

for “Independent Living Todmorden”. A cheque for £500, a copy of English translation of “The Holy

Qur’an” (with commentary), “Life of Muhammad World Crisis and Pathway to Peace”, flowers“ ,”ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصand chocolates were gifted by us.

Following the presentation, Ansãr met town

councillors and members of the public who were

present for the council meeting. All 18 town

councillors of Todmorden were presented copies of

“Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص”, “World Crisis and Pathway to Peace” and a letter from the local Zaeem with basic information about Jama’at.

Collection of funds for “The Alan Henning Memorial Fund”

Mr. Alan Henning was a British taxi-driver and used

to live in Eccles, Salford. He later on became

humanitarian aid worker. Recently, he was held

hostage and then murdered by Islamic State (IS) in

Syria. In a press release following his death Jamaat

stated that: “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community,

under the guidance of its Khalifa, His Holiness

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, stands united with all

who reject extremism and will continue to counter

hatred with prayers and work to uphold the true

peaceful message of Islam. Our hearts go out to the

family of Alan Henning. May God grant Alan peace

and comfort his family during this difficult time.”

Representatives of Majlis Ansãrullah contacted

Mayor of Salford to offer their condolences to the

people of Salford and to Mr. Henning’s family. The Mayor of Salford in response to the delegation said:

“Thank you for your kind words, this murderous act was never done in the name of any religion. Keep

praying for the family and the world and use your

slogan “Love for all Hatred for None” - that’s powerful.”

The Mayor of Salford set-up a memorial fund for

Mr. Henning’s wife and their two teenage children.

The fund will also be used to provide a permanent

memorial to Mr. Henning. Majlis Ansãrullah pledged

£500 for the memorial fund and also offered their

support for future fundraising efforts. This offer was

immediately accepted by the Mayor. Six Ansãr from

North West Region attended the Salford Business

Expo on October 16th, 2014 to collect funds for the

memorial fund. The Salford Business Expo is an

annual event for local businesses and charities to

promote their activities. At the expo a memorial

stall was set up for Alan Henning and local

businesses pledged raffle prizes and gifts. Members

of Majlis Ansãrullah collected money for the

memorial fund.

During the day the Mayor of Salford, Professor Ian

Stewart, visited our stall and thanked members for

their efforts. The stall was also attended by local MP

for Eccles, Mrs. Barbara Keeley, who is campaigning

for a national honour to be made posthumously to

Mr. Henning. Both Professor Stewart and Mrs.

Keeley were presented “The Holy Qur’an” (with English translation and commentary) and copies of

“Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص“and “World Crisis and The

Pathway to Peace”.

A short interview was given by Zaeem of Spen

Valley, Mr. Arif Ahmad, to local TV station, “Quays TV News”. The organiser of expo, Mr. Tom Rogers, was presented with “The Holy Qur’an”, copies of “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص” and “World Crisis and The Pathway to Peace”. The event was also attended by

Regional Missionary, Maulana Ahmad Khurshid

sahib, and Naib Amir, Mansoor Shah Sahib, who

pledged an additional £500 to the memorial fund on

behalf of Jama’at.

Majlis Ansarullah Mitcham organised an Eid party

with Libarien guests on August 9th, 2014 in Noor

Hall Baitul Futuh Mosque. Ameer Sb UK, Maulana

Atta Ul Mujeeb Rashid & Mansoor Ahmad Kahloon

Naib Sadr Majlis Ansarullah spoke about the

worldwide humanitarian services of Ahmadiyya

Muslim community. Thirty eight guests, including

the Ambassador of Liberia participated. The

embassador appreciated the peace activities of

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in UK. The Holy

Qur’an “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص“, and other books

were presented to every guest.

Majlis Tooting Bec

Majlis Ansarullah Tooting Bec, organised a ''Peace &

Harmony Promotion Exhibition’’ on August 18th, 2014 in “Caterham Community Hall'' Caterham London. Prof. Muhammad Nawaz Ahmed briefly

introduced Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to the

guests. Three guests participated and showed keen

interest in Exhibition. “Life of Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص“ &

other books were gifted to every guest. At the end
