Have you prayed today?Maybe prayer is a puzzle to you. In Max Lucado's new book on prayer, Before Amen, he says, "Prayer isodd, peculiar. Speaking into space. Lifting words into the sky. We can't even get the cable company toanswer us, yet God will? The doctor is too busy, but God isn't? We have doubts about prayer. But wouldn'twe like to pray ... More? Better? Deeper? Stronger? With more fire, faith or fervency?" If this describes you, come join a women's 4 to 6 week study on prayer, Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. If interested, pleasesign up in the narthex, so we can order Max Lucado's book as our study guide. The study will start aboutApril 20th. More information to come. For more information, contact Marsha Anderson, 989.365.3804, orBonnie Buckner, 989.330.0236.

The Lamb

Yes, Mary did have a little LambAnd His fleece was white as snow! . . .A hidden truth in the linesOf the nursery rhyme we know.

And everywhere that Jesus wentMary followed Him . . .The Lamb that was slain for usTo make us whole again.

I bow my heart in brokennessBefore the Lamb of God . . .Who cleanses my unrighteousnessWith His own precious blood.

Yes, Mary had a little LambHis fleece was white as snow . . .though my sins as crimson beO, they shall be as wool!

Love poured out upon the crossAnd from a manger lowly.Lord, take my heart and make it YoursA dwelling place, for Holy.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith theLord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall beas white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.~ Psalms 51:1-19

PAINTING PARTY A SUCCESS!On Friday, March 18th, our Church held apainting party, where approximately 30enthusiastic people each painted asunflower. There were also finger foods tonibble on while they painted. SPRC hostedthis fun fundraiser event, that MaureenRoslanic taught. Three helpers roved thepainting area, helping those who asked. There were some nervous first time artistswhen they began the project, but by the endof the night, it was unanamous that theywoul love to do it again some time. No twosunflowers looked alike, and that is all right. Thanks Maureen for sharing your talent, and for all others who helped make this agreat night.

Circle of Friends to Host TwoEvents!

Trash to Treasure Tea for WomenWe have been busy working on our spring women's event (really for girls of all ages). We have named this event "Trash to

Treasure Tea." Maybe you have seen things that are made out of something some people would throw out. it's interesting to

see how cute things can come together. So we want to invite you to come together to have sort of a "show and tell" day. Please

come and join us for tea and snacks and sharing on Saturday, April 23rd, and see what we have to share . . . oh, it's at 2:00 pm,

at New Life UMC. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! When you’re spring cleaning, maybe you could sort your jewelry and

cookbooks and bring any of those items to church for collection. We will be having a previously owned jewelry and extra

cookbooks sale table at our Tea. Contact Sue B 989-352-6176 with questions. Thanks so much

The 2016 Adopt-A-Highway, a very worthwhile local mission, is scheduled for:April 16 - 28 July 16 - 28 Sept. 24 - Oct. 2.

Alger Frandsen has coordinated this project for 20 years, and while his health doesnot allow him to pick up anymore, he is willing to have the bags and vests ready forthe walk to begin at our home, and then report the pick up to the Michigan Dept. ofTransportation.Through the years this has been a very successful mission for New Life UMC. Many

friends have been made and 'stories told' on the walk, during the years past. We are proud of the signsalong the highway designating New life as participators. Along this two mile strip of M-46, approximately 30bags of trash have been picked up each year.Ron will have announcements in the bulletin, and a sign-up sheet on the'Connection Point' wall, for your convenience. As many of our faithful workersage, they find they are no longer able to continue to help. We hope you arewilling to volunteer to keep this program going.
