Braehead Foods, is delighted to be announcing theappointment of Joe Queen as Executive Chef.

This appointment is the latest in newly createdmanagement roles, as we continue to expand our businessin Scotland and beyond.

This latest recognition sees Joe become one of thecompany’s most senior chefs. He joins our other in houseChefs at BHF and will work with them in productdevelopment, pricing and customer care as well asassisting in the development of the company’s ProductionKitchen offering. He will also play a significant role insupporting new business development.

Commenting on his new role, Joe said: “This role will allow me to continue do whatI love most – develop food and create ideas for those cooking it, amazed by thoseeating it.”

Craig Stevenson, Managing Director, explained: “Joe’s appointment reflects ourcommitment to developing what is most important to our business, premier food at acompetitive price as we continue to expand across Scotland and beyond.”

Comments from the Buying Department included: “Joe’s wealth of experience andunderstanding of the trade is of great benefit as he assists in bringing new productsto market ensuring the costing is attractive for our Customers. In todays climateJoe’s skill set is invaluable and a real asset to our procurement methodology.”

We are also delighted to be announcing the appointmentof Tom Rae, Operations Manager. Tom has been taskedwith co-ordinating the smooth running of the Warehouse,Production Kitchen and Game Processing as well as safetyand employee training. Tom’s job involves a lot of planningand scheduling ensuring that BRC standards are met andthat the physical aspects of the warehouse aremaintained.

Tom will enforce paperwork trails and strict procedures,and we are confident he will excel in this position. Everyday brings a new regime of orders, and Tom will ensurethese are fulfilled via excellent communications with hisfellow piers complimenting the excellent Customer Serviceyou have learned to trust.

“Being part of a growing organization is an exciting opportunity and one that I relish”says Tom. “I have a lot of experience in the food industry to bring to this role andlook forward to maintaining and unifying the excellent service already recognized.”
