HISTORY• The first European to discover New Zealand was

Dutch. His name was Abel Tasman. He found New Zealand on the 13th of December 1642.

• He called the land New Zealand after a place in Holland.

• Abel Tasman never actually set foot on New Zealand. He only sailed into New Zealand waters.

sweet potatoes, dogs and rats which they ate.

• Pavlova: Pavlova is a desert with a meringue base and cream and fruit on top. It was created in honour of Anna Pavlova a Russian ballerina.

• Anzac Biscuit: This is a biscuit made many ingredients including oats and sugar.
