WelcomeThis year’s seafood industry conference programme will be built around the theme, “Celebrating 30 Years of Sustainable Seafood“. It marks the 30th anniversary of the introduction of our world leading Quota Management System (QMS).

The one day conference will offer an impressive line-up of international and local speakers who will celebrate the industry’s successes, and look to the future challenges that they face.

The 2016 New Zealand Seafood Industry Conference is being held at Te Papa, in Wellington on Wednesday 31 August.

We will hear about how New Zealand fits in the world in terms of sustainable fisheries management, about new emerging markets, and how our industry plans to tell its unique story as part of the 30th anniversary of the QMS.

The conference will conclude with a cocktail function showcasing premium New Zealand seafood from across the country accompanied by a selection of New Zealand wine and craft beer. The evening will provide sponsors, delegates and invited guests with an opportunity to continue networking or simply unwind, surrounded by great food, atmosphere and location.

Conference informationThe 2016 New Zealand Seafood Industry Conference promises to be another successful event that focuses on celebrating the successes of 30 years of the QMS.

Our 2016 conference aims to bring together more than 250 delegates including; industry, international and domestic customers and suppliers, as well as iwi organisations, government representatives, international seafood agencies, environmental agencies and the media.

We have a range of opportunities for sponsors who want to be part of this highly-focused, single-day think tank at Te Papa, on Wellington’s waterfront on Wednesday 31 August 2016.

Target AudienceThe conference’s primary audience is decision makers in the domestic commercial seafood industry, but with a broadening delegation from satellite industries including investment, hospitality and export.

Attending businesses cover the spectrum from major corporates to small and medium-sized operations, many doing businesses within and outside of New Zealand.

Terms & conditionsPayment termsFor all sponsorship packages the following payment terms will apply:

₀ All sponsorship prices exclude GST.

₀ All sponsors will be invoiced by Lime & Soda Limited (“Lime & Soda”), the appointed Conference Organiser for Seafood New Zealand (“SNZ”).

₀ All monies payable must be received (and cleared) by the due dates. Failure to do so may result in your organisation being deemed to have cancelled its booking.

₀ Payment will be required on or before 29 July 2016.

₀ Organisations may be omitted from the conference programme and other material without notice if payment is not received by the due date.

Applications

1. SNZ reserves the right to reject a sponsorship, or advertising application at its sole discretion.

2. Sponsorship bookings will be allocated only on receipt of a signed application form and in order of receipt by Lime & Soda of the application.

3. An email will be sent to you to confirm your booking along with a tax invoice issued by Lime & Soda.

Cancellations

4. All cancellations must be made in writing to Lime & Soda. Cancellation of sponsorship packages will incur a 50% fee if cancelled prior to 24 June 2016 and 100% if cancelled after this date.

Sponsor Responsibilities

5. SNZ and Lime & Soda will not be responsible for any breach of the agreement arising out of an application for sponsorship, if the conference is cancelled, suspended, or reduced due to failure of services or other force majeure events outside of SNZ’s reasonable control.

6. Where applicable, sponsors will provide and make available to Lime & Soda their logo with full permission for use of their logo, for use in relevant conference marketing, promotional material and any other opportunities that may arise during the planning of the conference.
