The new factory of INTRAMA in “Trakia Economic Zone” – Plovdiv has opened the
doors and started operation. The company invests BGN 20 million in the construction
of a highly-technological enterprise for production and printing of flexible packaging
films. The newly-built factory includes production, logistics, warehouse and
administrative premises on a total built-up area of 13 217 м2 and provides over 100
work places. Thus INTRAMA proves to be the biggest producer of flexible packaging
films in Bulgaria.
The investment decision is the result of INTRAMA’s constant striving for self-
improvement and development thorough analysis of the market tendencies and the
customers’ needs. Thanks to the new factory, INTRAMA has increased its productivity
of high-quality packaging films by 400% and shortened delivery times to the
minimum.

The newly-built plant of INTRAMA has been equipped with the most advanced
technologies for extrusion, printing and lamination of barrier films. The company has
confided to one of the world leaders in the delivery of equipment for coextruded
tubular film. Thanks to the new extrusion installation, INTRAMA produces up to 18-layer
films with various thickness, width and composition, suitable for packaging of any
type of food and non-food products, requiring barrier films for vacuum, flowpack as
well as for Modified Atmosphere (MAP) packaging technologies.

With the new extrusion installation, INTRAMA produces thinner films with the same
excellent barrier and mechanical properties and wide functionality range such as
peel, anti-fog and reclosable.
A laboratory for tests of all important quality properties of the films has been
implemented to guarantee impeccable packaging quality. Every day, a highly-
qualified team of technologists conducts a broad range of quality tests. A particular
focus is put on defining the strength and stretching degree, static and dynamic
friction coefficient as well as monitoring the distribution of the separate polymer
layers in the composition of the multi-layer films.
With the new highly-technological equipment, INTRAMA enters different market
segments which demanding more qualitative, high-barrier films for packaging of
food and non-food products. INTRAMA will reach more manufacturers and traders
form Europe, Asia and Africa through its complete solutions thus establishing itself as a
competent and reliable partner in the global market for flexible packaging.

THE NEW FILMS OF
Top In – Top films for tray-sealers and thermoforming machines.
The top films of INTRAMA have different protection properties depending on the
product packed and the type of packaging. They are suitable for МАР packaging as
well as all kinds of tray-sealers and thermoforming machines. All the top films have
excellent sealing properties and form a high-quality packaging, which preserves the
product shape, colour and freshness. Top films have thickness ranging from 35μ to
100μ. They have impeccable properties for reaching a high-quality printing.
Form In – films for thermoforming.
The main accent in the supply and production of INTRAMA falls on the films for
thermoforming. INTRAMA is one of the leading producers of films for thermoforming
with solid knowledge and experience. Our films are characterized with excellent

mechanical properties and flawless transparency when deeply thermoformed. They
show exceptionally good properties with the thermoforming machines produced by
INTRAMA – “INTRAMA Accent” as well as other packaging equipment. The Form In
films undergo physic-mechanical tests in our laboratory to monitor their strength and
stretching properties. Form In films are within the thickness range of 80μ – 230μ. They
can be transparent, coloured or printed according to an individually conceived
project.
Flow In – films for flow-pack machines.
Due to the latest generation high-technological equipment, INTRAMA’s Flow In films
meet the highest European and world quality standards. We produce films for flow-
pack machines with an utmost precision to sealing and barrier properties suitable for
horizontal and vertical high-speed machines. The Flow In films are a complex solution,
which meets the product specificity, the packaging equipment and the market
requirements to the maximum degree. The packaging of Flow In film guarantees a
maximum expiry date and excellent presentation of the product. The films for flow-
pack machines can be laminated or printed as per an individually conceived
project. They are within the thickness range of 35μ – 95μ and they have been tested
for static and dynamic friction coefficient.

Lam In – films for lamination
The Lam In films of INTRAMA are
multilayer corona treated. The
corona technology guarantees
maximum efficiency and quality of
lamination and direct printing. They
have a wide application and they
are suitable for casing with РЕТ, РР,
ОРА, aluminum and others. They
are produced in “jumbo rolls” with
a maximum width of 1350mm in a
wide colour range and thickness
from 20μ to 65μ.
Plex In – specially structured films.
Plex In are INTRAMA films meant for products with special requirements to packaging.
They can be double laminated - Duplex and triple laminated - Triplex with a thickness
from 42 μ to 95 μ. All the layers in the Plex In films are perfectly laminated and
guarantee uncompromised packaging quality. They are suitable for packaging of
coffee, powdered products, cereals and others; food and non-food products.

NVESTS IN A PRINTING HOUSE FOR FILMS
With its over 20-year experience in trade and production of high-quality barrier
packaging and realizing the importance of packaging in terms of product storage
and its positioning in the minds of end consumers, INTRAMA has invested in a highly-
tech printing machine.
The film printing machine has been provided by one of the global producers of
printing equipment and satisfies the highest quality and printing speed standards. In
addition, the machine allows printing over another print thus reaching a shiny or
matte effect on a certain part. The INTRAMA printing house offers film lamination as
well. The company has bought a latest model of a lamination machine
characterized by speed and impeccable lamination quality.
A team of polygraph specialists measure the colour values and follow the printing
quality. The pre-print department processes the files submitted and assists in the
choice of the best printing vision.
INTRAMA has introduced an 8EG flexo-solvent technology for printing of flexible
packaging, which guarantees high printing quality and persistence of the colour
register in a circulation
