Seasons greeting from NIPM Kerala Chapter!!

It is the time when we celebrate Vishu and Easter with pomp and glory, as we enter

the month of April. Festive times make us remember that our family is very precious,

loving and caring. It is the time we value our relationships, spends quality time with

parents and keeps engaged with our family, keeping aside our busy life schedule.

NIPM (Kerala chapter) is now ready to release “Kerala Personnel” for the quarter Jan-

Mar 2018.

As you are aware, nancial year 2017-18 is just over and NIPM (KC) is in the nal

quarter of its year. It is also going to be the last quarter as far the NIPC (KC)'s present

Team is concerned. Going through the e-magazine, you will understand that the

quarter Jan-Mar 2018 was alive with lots of activities in spite of the tight schedule of

the EC Team.

On behalf of the NIPM (Kerala Chapter), I take this opportunity to Thank You all for the

continued support and also request Seniors, Executive Committee Members and

other Members in the Chapter to contribute their best and take part actively in the

AGM and Legal Update planned in June 2018. Your Organisation's support to NIPM

(KC) with delegates for the Legal Update, Advertisements for the Souvenir as part of

AGM 2018 will help the EC Team to make the program a grand success. Details will

reach you soon.

Let us ensure that NIPM Kerala Chapter continues to excel in all areas of its activities.

Warm Greetings to all Professional Members of NIPM Kerala Chapter !

At the outset, I would like to wish all fellow colleagues and their families a very happy

Easter & Vishu.

As you are aware, we are approaching the last Quarter of the current term which will

end up by 30th June 2018. During the Quarter under report i.e. January-March

2018, we have undertaken lot of activities which is evident from the activity report

presented in the Quarterly Issue.

With immense pleasure I would like to announce that we are Organizing the 19th

Edition of our Annual Flagship Program “Legal Update” along with our Annual

General Body Meeting & Annual Day Celebration on 23rd June 2018. The Annual

Issue of our Publication “Kerala Personnel” will also be released during the occasion.

I would request all NIPM Members to put their all out efforts to get maximum number

of delegates for Legal Update 2018 and Advertisements for the Annual Issue 2018.

A new Team of Ofce Bearers will also take charge of our Chapter on that day for

which the Biennial Election Process has already been initiated as per NIPM Election

Manual.

It is a matter of great concern that our Membership Renewal is not up to the expected

level and many Corporate / Associate Members have not renewed their Memberships

for one or more than one year. I urge upon you to take the matter seriously and renew

/ re-activate their Memberships for the betterment of our Chapter.

Half�Day�Session30-01-2018 – Half Day Lecture Session was arranged for the Members of T-4 Trainer Cochin

group on the topic “HR for Business Excellence. The Resource Person was Mr. Johnson

Mathew, Head-HR, Popular Vehicles & Services Ltd. and former Hon. Secretary, NIPM Kerala

Chapter.

Evening�Lecture�Meeting27-02-2018 – An Evening Talk was organized on 27th Feb. 2018 at NIPM House, Kochi at

6.30 pm by on the Topic “Skill India – Opportunities for HR Professionals”. The Resource

Person was Mr. Saji V Mathew, Dy. General Manager (HR & IR), Sud Chemie India Ltd. and

former Hon. Secretary, NIPM Kerala Chapter.

27-02-2018 - NIPM Kerala Chapter opened a Student Chapter at Bhavan's Royal Institute of

Management (BRIM) and the inauguration of the same was performed by Dr. N. Vijayan Pillai,

Fellow NIPM and Former Chairman, NIPM Kerala Chapterat their premises. 25 Students were

become Student Members of NIPM. In the interactive session Mr. Saji V Mathew, Former Hon.

Secretary, Kerala Chapter also participated. Mr. Vijayakumar A.V., Hon. Treasurer, Kerala

Chapter gave a brieng and power point presentation about NIPM and its activities.

Opening�of�NIPM�Student�Chapter�at�Kochi23-03-2018 – A Student Chapter was inaugurated at Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies,

Kakkanad, Kochi involving MHRM Students of the College. The Chapter was inaugurated by

Mr. Anish Aravind, Hon. Secretary, NIPM Kerala Chapter at the college premises on 23rd

March 2018 in the presence of Dr. K. Anilkumar, HOD (MHRM), Rajagiri Centre for Business

Studies. This is the second student Chapter opened under Kerala Chapter.

NIPM�Foundation�DayNIPM Foundation Day was celebrated by Kerala Chapter by Organizing a Lecture Meeting in

which a presentation and talk on the Topic “Transformation Journey by Apollo Tyres Ltd.,

Perambra” was made by Mr. G. Anilkumar, Head (HR & Admin.), Apollo Tyres Ltd., Perambra.

About 50 HR Professionals from various Industries attended the same and the presentation was

well appreciated by the participants.

As part of the NIPM Foundation Day Celebration, a

Book titled “The Man Behind the Wheel“ authored

by Sri Onkar S. Kanwar, CMD, Apollo Tyres Ltd was

released by handing over a copy of the same to Dr.

George Sleeba, Fellow NIPM by Mr. G. Anilkumar,

Head (HR & Admin.), Apollo Tyres Ltd. Copies of

the same were also distributed to all the participants

present during the Foundation Day Lecture/EC

Meeting.

20-01-2018 - NIPM Kerala Chapter (Palakkad Group) has organized its Annual One Day

Workshop on 20th Jan. 2018 in association with Leads College of Management, Palakkad at

their premises. Following were the Topics and Resource Persons:

a) HR – Its Everyone's Job! – Mr. G.D. Sharma

b) Innovative HR Initiatives – Mr. Dilip Hari

c) Legal Update – Adv. Benny P Thomas

The Annual Award Nite of Palakkad Group was also held in the evening at the same premises

in which various Annual Awards were presented.

23-02-2018 – NIPM Kerala Chapter (Kottayam Group) has organized a Two Hour Lecture

Meeting on the Topic “HR Analytics” at Malayala Manorama Conference Hall, Kottayam on

23rd Feb. 2018. The Resource Person was Dr. Manoj Varghese, Director, Xavier Institute of

Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Kochi.
