NEWS SPRING 2017
PRODUCT NEWS AND INFORMATION
PRODUCTION AND DESIGN DEPARTMENT
DEAR CUSTOMER ANDINTERESTED PARTIES,
we proudly look back to a busy and productive year
2016. We were able to put many of our plans and
visions into practice – we have completed our ex-
tension and reconstruction
of the workshop and we were
very busy experimenting in
our new development and re-
search laboratory.
Currently we are preparing our In-House presen-
tation which takes place on May 4th, 2017. Here
informative lectures and live presentations await
all interested parties and we were able to secure
Professor Dr. Julia Kowal of the TU Berlin with the
issue Impedance spectroscopy on Lead Acid Bat-
teries.
On May 5th, 2017 – we have invited our suppliers,
families and friends of our employees and other
business associates of CMWTEC to an open house
for a look behind the scenes.
Now I wish you a lot of fun reading the current
issue, because apart from our events there are, of
course, also technical innovations which we would
like to introduce to you.
In this spirit – stay interested
THINK GREEN!The environmental idea also plays an important role in our products. That is why, thanks to our energy certificate, you can see just how eco-friendly CMWTEC machines work.
Ingrid Wipperfürth
(Managing Director)
The degassing bottle insertion machine has been designed for a finishing line following the Initial Acid Filler.
The batteries filled with sulphuric acid are temporary sealed simultaneously by means of single push-in
bottle and then checked if bottles are missing, before approaching the water bath formation.
ADVANTAGES AND ATTRIBUTES
Fully automated push-in setting process
Precise bottle insertion by vision sensor controlled unit
High productivity up to 8 batt/min
No bottle pre-sorting necessary
Small footprint
No change over between different battery length necessary
Support for degassing bottle design (option)
100 % acid resistance
WHAT MAKES THIS MACHINE SO UNIQUE?
There is no adjustment necessary for change over
from one DIN battery type to another DIN battery
type. The machine is equipped with a vision sensor
which identifies the single holes where a bottle
has to be inserted.
Therefore a constant and continuous production
of DIN batteries L2- L6 or (H4-H9) is guaranteed.
Vibration bowl
Special pushcylinder unit
INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY FOR AUTOMOTIVE DIN AGM/EFB CAR BATTERIES
AUTOMATIC DEGASSING BOTTLEINSERTION MACHINE
Special vision sensor unit
Special bottleconveyor belt
Hopper for degassing bottles
OUR DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH LABORATORY
MODERN PRODUCT EQUIPMENT DEMANDS DEVELOPMENT AT A HIGH LEVEL
As part of our expansion of the production facilities, a
specially equipped laboratory was also set up.
The reason for this was that, during the development
of the latest equipment for electrolyte infiltration and
battery testing, appropriate premises and equipment
had proved to be very useful. This allows us to si-
mulate formation cycles and to perform subsequent
electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
In addition, the founder of the company and long-stan-
ding managing director Walter Wipperfürth is after
retiring from the day-to-day business now consultative
to our company and is currently studying at the TU
Berlin. The topic of his dissertation „Importance of the
electrolyte distribution in the battery cell „is very much
based on the development activities of CMWTEC and
deals with the electrolyte infiltration and the battery
testing also with impedance spectroscopy.
The fact that comprehensive laboratory experiments
are required is self-evident. The professional world as
well as the company‘s machinery and equipment de-
velopment gain from the scientific results.
Our laboratory is equipped with modern experimen-
ting and test equipment including:
Temperature-regulated water
bath for loading and forming work
VACBOX electrolyte filler
Hioki battery tester
Digatron UBT with software BTS600
Density meters and precision balances
CMWTEC is therefore well positioned to develop its
products according to the requirements of the future
and to carry out experiments for customers.
CMWTEC continues training. Again this year
two employees, Benny Wegmann and
Max Schüttler, were able to participate and
successfully past the plastic adhesive test
according to DVS® 2221. Thus, we provide
safe and tested machines for our customers.

CMWTEC EMPLOYEES
PRODUCTION AND DESIGN DEPARTMENT
The production and design department is responsible for our projects, starting from the idea up to
the finished product. In addition to the technical support for sales, it manages the design, the material
procument and the production process. After Sales Support is also done by the technical engineers
of CMWTEC. Customer‘s requests become reality here.
GIULIANO VITUCCI (27)
Bachelor of Engineering [B.Eng]
Project Manager
„A problem does not presuppose a
solution as much as a construction”
He is for 3 years with the company and
responsible for the design of the machines.
In his spare time he is studying for the
Master of Engineering.
DEMIREL BAYRAKTAR (39)
Bachelor of Business Controlling [BBA]
Project Manager
„When the wind change is blowing,
we build windmills and others build
walls”
He joined the company this year and is
responsible for the material procurement.
With the extension of the work-
shop and also an increase of the
staff, CMWTEC meets the requi-
rements of the market and the
fast implementation of delivery,
this is greatly appreciated by our
customers. We have therefore ad-
ded three new employees, Heiko
Bergmann, Oemer Salmann and
Matthias Ludwig to the CMWTEC
team. Their many years of experi-
ence in the field of industrial me-
chanics, PLC programming and
electrical cabinet construction
support our team actively.
