    Well done once again to the Y6 pupils for their hard work during SATs week and for all the effortthey have put in over the last few months. And good luck to Y5 with the Macbeth Performance onMonday, we hope the parents all enjoy the performance.

    Well done also to two of our pupils, Sarah Chowdhury and Davylene Manemala have beensuccessfully selected in the Top Ten Childrens Artwork Competition by the Arison Gallery onWilbraham Road in Chorlton, (4-7 years category). The artwork will be exhibited in the gallery duringthe Chorlton Arts Festival 17th25th May and there will be a special celebration and awards event atthe gallery on Saturday 25th May at 4:30 pm.

    Celebration Assembly: Monday 9:109:30 amYou are welcome to join us for this event. we will text you if your child is to receive a special award.Birthday cards are presented in Celebration Assembly to children having birthdays during the week

    Reading Books and hearing your child readPlease can you make sure that book bags are returned on the

    correct day so that books can be changed. Days for books to bechanged are as follows: Monday- Reception

    Tuesday-Year3/4

    Wednesday-Year 1 /2Nursery- There is a box available in Nursery for you to choosebooks for your child. Please see a member of the Nursery staff.

    Year 5/6- Children are responsible for changing their own books.

    If Book Bags are not returned on the correct day, then it may not bepossible for your child to get a new book that week. Please support

    your child by making sure their book bags are in school on thecorrect day and finding time to hear them read. All the teachers arehighly skilled at teaching the children to read, but we need you tosupport their teaching by giving the children the opportunity to

    practise their reading skills at home.

    Year 6 SATsWell done to all our Year 6 children who have completed their

    SATs this week. Hopefully all their hard work in class and at Boostersessions will be reflected in their results which we will get in July.

    They can now begin look forward to some more fun activities,including their Leavers play.

    Good luck to our Year 5 children who will be performing Macbethat Chorlton High School on Monday evening as part of the Chorlton

    Arts festival.***

    Appropriate ClothingDue to the unpredictable weather, please can you make sure thatyour children come to school in appropriate clothing, which maymean a jumper, a waterproof coat, and possibly a sun hat! Please

    check the weather forecast each day.****

    Y1/2 TripOur Year 1 & 2 children will be travelling to Blackpool on Thursday

    as part of their History Topic on British Seasides. We hope the

    weather stays warm and dry for them! Separate details have beengiven to parents regarding the arrangements for this trip.
