Garda Youth Awards
We were very proud to nominate the UP youth
group for the above awards this year. Although
they didnt win an overall prize they were however
represented in the City Hall last week and
received a certificate of achievement for the
work, which they have done. This is a great
accomplishment for a group of young people who
started from small beginnings and have grown
into a vibrant group. Congratulations from all at
LINC and again a huge Thank-You to Gillian
Barrett our youth worker who encourages the
group in so many ways!

Artlink have come up with some amazing
ideas for this years parade, the theme of
which is Our Future- but we need you! Thisyear we want to really express what a
wonderful community we have and wow the
city with our talent!
Work has started in ARTLINK on our Pride
Dragon. The workshop was a great success
and in the coming weeks we will start work on
new sections of the dragon so the more the
merrier- check out the parade facebook page
for pics to inspire you
There are a number of ways people can
participate - we will be calling on people to
donate materials such as tubing, cardboard
and art materials in the coming weeks. Watch
this space

We are also calling on community groups to
work on separate modules of the dragon-
these will be smaller interlocking parts that
each group can work on in their own time. Be
expecting a call from us!
Workshops take place in Artlink on Shandon
street from 7-9pm.
