TRAVELWISE SAFETY

TIPS

Here are some tips prepared by

our student TravelWise team:

“Remind your children to walk

around not through our

carparks because some kids

have nearly been hit by cars

backing out.

When children are dropped off

at school by car, they should

always get out of the footpath

side of the car because that’s a

lot safer for us kids”

POLICE CAR SEAT

CHECK

Yesterday, Pukekohe police

checked cars bringing children

to school for properly secured

and used child restraints

Overall, they were pleased that

190 out of 200 cars checked

were fine and appreciated the

attitude of almost all drivers.

All children 7 and under need

to be in an approved child

restraint.
