Governor News

It is with regret that I must advise parents that Community Governor, Martyn Chadderton, has resigned from the Governing Body. Martyn will be starting on a new career path by training to become a Primary School teacher. It has been a pleasure for us to work with Martyn and we wish him every success in the future.

The Governing Body met on Tuesday, 19th March 2013. Mrs Ashley, Deputy Headteacher for Teaching and Learning, delivered an outstanding workshop on lesson observations. Governors went to lessons to use and indeed test the skills to observe lessons. We were impressed with our students’ engagement.

Our Amazing Students

Creative Writing Competition

Miss Richardson is delighted to report that two of her Year 7 students entered a creative writing competition. The competition organisers received thousands of entries and we are very proud of Jack Henderson and Amy Ashcroft who both were successful. The winning pieces are to be compiled in a book and the school will receive a complimentary copy. Congratulations to these talented students.

PE News Year 10 Boys Rugby success This week the Boys Year 10 Rugby Team won the Hampshire Plate 7's at the Hampshire Collegiate school. This was a fantastic achievement and they now have their first trophy of the season. Many congratulations to the team who represented the school brilliantly on a great afternoon of competitive sport.
