Congrats to all those elected to positions on the 2011-2012 committee I hope to have an-other wonderful year and really get the club buzzing. The 21st crew are well under way withthe organisation for the celebrations and our logo for the event has been chosen by Ray andthe lucky winner was Ken so his design will be utilised for all the 21st merchandise/memorabilia for the event.

The club permit scheme has also generated a lot of interest in the club and obvi-ously word of mouth is working well as the phone is starting to get rather busy. We willneed to progress this quickly as there are quite a few things we need to sort out, we have afew ideas and these will be discussed at the next meeting which I am sure everyone is look-ing forward to. This is becoming one of the most looked forward to weekend on our calen-dar as we enjoy our time at Old Dadswell Town.

I look forward to catching up with everyone for an enjoyable weekend.

The Wisdom of ExperienceAn old prospector shuffled into town leading an old tired mule. The old man headed straightfor the only saloon to clear his parched throat.

He walked up and tied his old mule to the hitch rail. As he stood there, brushing some of thedust from his face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in onehand and a bottle of whisky in the other.

The young gunslinger looked at the old man and laughed, saying, "Hey old man, have you everdanced?" The old man looked up at the gunslinger and said, "No, I never did dance.. Neverreally wanted to."

A crowd had gathered as the gunslinger grinned and said, "Well, you old fool, you're gonnadance now," and started shooting at the old man's feet.

The old prospector --not wanting to get a toe blown off-- started hopping around like a flea on ahot skillet. Everybody was laughing, fit to be tied. When his last bullet had been fired, theyoung gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the sa-

    loon.

The old man turned to his pack mule, pulled out a double-barreled shotgun, and cocked bothhammers. The loud clicks carried clearly through the desert air. The crowd stopped laughingimmediately.

The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and he turned around very slowly. The silence wasalmost deafening. The crowd watched as the young gunman stared at the old timer and thelarge gaping holes of those twin barrels.

The barrels of the shotgun never wavered in the old man's hands, as he quietly said, "Son, haveyou ever licked a mule's arse?"

The gunslinger swallowed hard and said, "No sir..... But... I've always wanted to."

There are a few lessons for us all here:

    Never be arrogant.

    Don't waste ammunition.

Whisky makes you think you're smarter than you are.

Always, always make sure you know who has the power.Don't mess with old men, they didn't get old by being stupid.
