1. Election Results Announced for 2016 Board of Directors
AHRMM is pleased to announce the results of the 2015 election. All newly elected board members will serve three-year terms, which starts on January 1, 2016. AHRMM would like to thank every member who voted and all of the candidates who participated in the election for their leadership and dedication to AHRMM. This year the leadership challenged members to participate in the election, and the challenge was met and exceeded. More than 1,000 participated in this year's election! October 14th will begin our education programs for 2015/2016. Health Care Materials
Management Society of NJ Present "Certified Materials & Resource Professional
(CMRP) Certification Overview and Celebration of Materials Management
Week." October 14, 2015 - 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. At the Holiday Inn in Clark, NJ
Meeting is sponsored by the Healthcare Materials Management Society of New
Jersey. About this Program:
This presentation will focus on understanding the CMRP Certification with an overview of
how to achieve this certification and what you need to do to get there. CMRP Certification has
become a valuable credential for supply chain professionals. Certification is an indicator of a

defined body of knowledge that verifies one as an experienced professional in healthcare
materials and resource management. After this session you will take away the following:
Who oversees the entire certification program from creating the exam to taking the test to
overseeing the administration process to the process for certification renewal.
What requirements candidates must meet to be eligible to take the test for the exam?
The process for completing the application to take the exam and once complete the
scheduling process to take the exam.
The subject areas that are covered on the exam and how they are scored.
Who Should Attend: EVERYONE! Directors of Materials Management, Supply
Chain/Resource Managers, Infection Control Practitioners, O.R. Managers/Staff, Support
Services Management, Environmental Services, and Corporate VP of Supply Chain
Management.
About the Speaker :
Edward "Ned" McDowell, Director of Logistics and Purchasing, Monmouth Ocean Hospital
Services, currently Vice President of Finance for HMMS-NJ.
Mr. McDowell has been involved in Health and Public Safety for over 40 years. He holds a Master's
Degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has completed graduate
studies at Northwestern University. He has been an Adjunct Faculty member of Fairleigh Dickinson
University and the NJ Department of Personnel Human Resource Institute; additionally he has
provided consulting services for the US Army and Air Force, and the US Drug Enforcement Agency.
In his role as Director Logistics and Purchasing, Mr. McDowell serves as a member of the Business
Continuity Task Force for the organization. He is currently certified as a Business Resilience
Continuity Manager by the Business Resilience Certification Consortium International (BRCCI).
Mr. McDowell is a holder of the CMRP Certification since 2008 and his Certification # 946 is current
until July of 2017. He has facilitated both introductory and advanced CMRP training sessions for
HMMS-NJ and students filing for the examination have a 100% passage rate.
