HistoryThe area of Niger was originally part of
France, this was until 1960, when Niger got it’s independence from France. Till 1993, Niger was under a one party military rule. Now, Niger is under democratic rule.
GeographyNiger, as you know, is
located in the western area of the northern part of Africa, this is right smack in the middle of the Sahara desert.
Niger is a mostly dry country, it is generally hot and is mostly covered in desert. Near the south it is a tad bit tropical.
Area: About 1, 267,000 Square kilometers
Compared to the world: it the the 22nd largest country in the world.
