Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB)
LAKSHMIBAI COLLEGE
INTRODUCTION
The NCWEB centre in Lakshmibai college started in 1978:
With the aim of promoting overall development of students through various academic and extra-
curricular activities.
The center caters to 1400 girl students, who are the residents of Delhi and due to various unforeseen
reasons are unable to join regular college.
The classes are held on every Sunday and during academic session breaks in university.
COURSES OFFERED
The centre offers the following undergraduate courses:
BA program
Bcom program
The CBCS was introduced in 2019-20

The centre has a library where the students can borrow books
The centre gives access to the computer lab for the B Com students

ACTIVITIES (2015-16)
The centre organised one day seminar on women empowerment, the speakers were Shri Balmukund Pandey ,
President of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana and Professor Kumud Sharma of Hindi department , Delhi
University .The session was chaired by Dr. Anju Gupta , Director NCWEB.
The centre organised a students trip to Chowki Dhani
The centre organised various competitions such as dance , singing and poster making competitions to mark
Women’s Day
It organised Annual Day the chief guest was Ms Monika Arora (Advocate , Supreme Court) and guest of honour Ms
Lalita Nijhawan (President Awardee) followed by the cultural performance by the students

A lecture was organised “Rethinking Women’s Education : Role of Women as National Builders” by Prof. Chandrakala Padia
The college centre organised a three day Skill Development Workshop
The NCWEB of Lakshmibai College also organised “Annual Day and the Chief guest wasIndian Mountaineer Santosh Yadav.

It also organised an inter college competitions of Mehndi , Rangoli , Painting and Pot Decoration

A job awareness drive was organised by the Disha group, funded by the UNDP to
help students “earn while they learn”
Cultural cum sports day
The Annual Day was organised. The guests were Mr. Shiv Shankar, additional
Commissioner, Moradabad and Mrs. Sangeeta Bahal, Mountaineer and Image
Consultant
Activities 2019-2020
Annual day in which cultural activities such as talent search, swayam
rachit Kavita, rangoli competition, and drawing on the theme beti bachao
beti padhao were held.
The center participated in the employment drive planned exclusively for
the students of NCWEB where the students of the LBC participated in
large numbers.
Activities of 2020-2021
It organised an online orientation programme
To mark the environmental day a debate on environmental issue was
organised.
To mark the international women’s day a poem writing competition was
organised
