Non-competitive Position Application Process
Non-competitive Positions (Library Page, Library Clerk Sub, Cleaner)
Applications are accepted year round but the Library only hires when in need.
Applicants must complete a paper copy of the Ontario County application form and return the completed form
to the Library. Paper applications are no longer to be mailed to Ontario County and will be returned without
review if mailed.
o Applicants should complete as much information as possible on the application.
o Applicants do not need to enter previous wage/salary information on the application.
o Applicants interested in applying for multiple positions need to complete only one application but
should list multiple position titles on the Job/Exam Title line.
Library staff will place completed forms in the Library Director’s mailbox, unless otherwise designated.
The Library will keep applications on file for three (3) years.
A representative from the Library will contact an applicant if the Library is interested in scheduling an interview
or if there are questions about an application.
