I After School Clubs After School Clubs Global Education Meet the team! Art Club Why people go to art club? Ruby joined art club because she enjoys doing art and crafts. Her favourite thing to do is to make the Aladdin lamp with newspaper foil and more. Another member of art club, Shakila, goes to art club because it relaxes her, and she can do the things she loves to do like drawing and painting. What have they done this week? In art club, they draw and do loads of painting. They make models out of clay. This week they have done Christmas decorations to sell at the Christmas fair. They are making angels, Christmas trees, stars and more. They are colouring them in with felt tips. For the next few weeks they are doing more Christmas decorations but with paint and are decorating baubles and pinecones. Would they change anything? If they had the chance, she would do more art with Miss Bottomley who runs art club every Thursday until 4:15pm. Miss Levett, Miss Beeforth and Miss Maynard run film club, which is available for Y1, Y2 and Y3 first and then Y4, Y5 and Y6 in another session every half term because of age restrictions. You can bring your own snacks from home, but we do have a tuck shop with drinks, chocolate and crisps in all sorts of various brands. You can book a place on Parent Pay totally free or at the main office. This club does take place straight after school up until 5:00. The next film club: 5 th December for years 2-6 as a Christmas special to watch Elf with pjs! This term there is 12 people in Global Ed, and they have entered a national competition and created posters for World Food Day. The children in Global Ed are really excited to find out if they won because the deadline for entries was last week. If you would like to sign up, you can speak to Miss Pettitt for a taster session and if you like you can sign up.
