Comments ● This is the second time NHS has stayed at Pacific Park. With plenty of beds in the main lodge as well as the option to put judges/coaches and older swimmers in separate (and more upmarket) units along with a large kitchen and eating/common area, this is an excellent choice for a group like our’s. 15 mins drive along Papamoa Beach Road to Baywave Pool.

● Self-catered for breakfasts and snacks. Dominos pizza for first night at pool. Catering for dinner was outsourced to the ‘Food Gurus’, a local catering company, who supplied dinner on Saturday night and filled baguettes for both Saturday and Sunday lunches. General Comments about the event

A very successful North Island Champs for NHS with lots of placings. Good team spirit and smooth operation ‘behind the scene’ with good team management support. Some parent help with poolside jobs such as scoring and marshalling. No sickness or accidents to report. Pacific Park complained about the kitchen being left in an unsatisfactory state with food left in fridge and freezer and dishes not all cleaned. Cleaning charge does not cover removal of food and the cleaning of dishes.
