advantage– Ensure distinctiveness– Combine agendas– Deliver complementary growth across the region and

sub regions

• Based on evidence, Principles and Issues, thematic seminars, specialist expertise and national policy

• Mapping key assets against sub regional priorities and contribution to outcomes

Issues

• Balancing competitive advantage with those things which must be addressed such as climate change, poor health, deprivation, spatial land use, low skills etc.

• All key activities such as housing stock, core skills, core sectors, employment land, aggregate minerals, waste etc. to be included.

• Either contribution to pillars or specific actions

• Pillars and place balanced to mutual advantage for the region
