BE ORGANISED THE
NIGHT BEFORE:
Pack your fitness gear and plan
your gym visit the night before. If
you plan ahead you’re more likely
to follow through. Be sure to check
the Group fitness timetable for

TRY SOMETHING NEW:
Sometimes it takes a new challenge to
motivate you. Join our Rooftop Warriors
on Saturday mornings for a high intensity
outdoor workout combining cross training
and mixed martial arts. Register at Fitness
Reception at 8am for an 8.15am start. It’s only
$10 for members or $20 for non-members, so
bring your friends along!
SET GOALS:Having goals you can train towards will keep
you focused and motivated. Pick a big event you
can start training for and put it on the calendar! Or
you could even challenge yourself with a 4 week
Fitcamp with varied outdoor training sessions 3
mornings a week. Don’t miss out
on our next Fitcamp starting
mid January, register at
norths FITNESS Reception
to secure your spot.
CLEAR OUT THE CUPBOARDS:
Get that leftover Christmas cake and treats out of the
kitchen if you know you’ll be tempted. Replace the junk
food with healthier items especially if you’re a serial
snacker like fresh fruit and veg, high fibre cereals,
whole grain crackers and natural yoghurt. Portion
food into containers or bags to prevent over-eating and
store fruit and veg already chopped up in the fridge.
GIVE UP THE BOOZE:
Detox from the silly season and give alcohol a break for
a few weeks. You can even try the “water weekdays”
rule and give up sugary drinks and softdrinks too! Add
an element of fun to the age old rule and Download
the Eight Glasses A Day iPhone App to keep an eye
on your water intake.
FIND THE RIGHT TOOLS:
There are some great iPhone Apps that can help you
stay focused in an interactive and fun way! iMuscle
guides you through 450 different exercises showing
you which parts of the body are being worked.
Lose it! simplifies the tricky task of calorie counting.
Nike+GPS maps your run and tracks your progress
whilst also adding Facebook interaction to motivate
you to the finish line.

the more it becomes a regular, fun and social part of

We trust you all had a much deserved break over Christmas with plenty of fun,
