Dear Brothers and Co-workers ,
As I write this no one has stepped up to be our new lodge Governor. We also need to
fill some other Board positions.
What makes a lodge successful? I think we all know the answer to that. It‘s you the
member. You are the ones who have the final say. If your lodge fails, yes it's the Board
of Officers who make the decisions and have to meet certain criteria, but without you
filling in those committees, attending the meetings, voting on matters and supporting
those officers no lodge can stand on its own. The Officers need your help and support.
Now is the time for all of us to get involved and do what we can to make this lodge the
best place in the world to belong to, because it‘s our lodge. With that being said, I am
grateful that I had the opportunity and honor of serving as your governor this past year,
and for all of you who have stepped up when asked I thank you deeply for you have
made it fun. One more wish, when your new governor takes over show him what great
things we all can do.
Members need to carry both their membership cards and their key cards while they are
in the Lodge. Please when asked to show your membership card do so proudly and in a
courteous manner. The bartenders are only doing what is asked by the Board of Offi-
cers.
Fraternally yours,
Craig Justice
Governor
Well another new year is upon us. Congratulations to Carla on becoming Senior
Regent
I wish her good luck and I look forward to working with her. Thanks to all who
helped out last year! As I write this we may actually have our bingo license which
brings up another point, and that is the need for others to volunteer. For the
bingo to be a success, we need help; runners, another bingo caller, money takers,
etc. And we are looking for Board members; a shopper for the lodge to help with
getting food , and supplies. There are fewer and fewer people doing more and
more work, and when they burn out and leave there is a huge hole to fill , so
come on and pitch in. When a lot of people help out a little , the load is lighter for
all . We will be continuing our membership incentives, for the men anyways, of
paying the $20.00 enrollment fee . So spread the word and bring in a new mem-
ber, and keep an eye on the sign out front; we are in the process of getting it fixed
and upgraded . Congratulations to Pam De Haan who was our winner of the 50/50
per capita drawing, she won $384.00. Thanks to everyone who entered and
helped . Also thank you Kathy Jenkins for doing the 50/50‘s and Wednesday nite
snacks.

Senior Regent’s Message
I would like to introduce myself as your new Sr. Regent, Carla Chaddick.
I cordially invite each woman member to the (WOTM) Women Of The Moose meetings which are held on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. Meetings are a great opportunity to meet the officers, members and voice your ideas. I look forward to meeting everyone and having some fun this year. Please come to the meetings to give us your ideas and express your concerns or suggestions.
The Moose is a non-profit organization and the lodge and chapter is run by volunteers. The Officer positions are very important and ALL positions should be filled. Please let someone know if you are interested in helping your lodge or chapter in any way.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Victor Valley Lodge for our April 10th meeting. We had a lot of fun. Information was
passed on from the CNMA Mid-Year conference. We had a 50/50 and there were many raffle prizes won. For all those who
bought chances for the $200 Walmart card, Thank you. Congratulations to Pete Caviezel of Norwalk who won. Pilgrim brother
Ray Hungate and Co-worker Pedie Hartl won the attendance prizes, green and white Mooseheart umbrellas. We enjoyed delicious open face Sloppy Joe
sandwiches with steak fries and ice cream for dessert.
During lunch we played a match the couples game. Richard Burch of Downey and Kris Titus of Victor Valley won drink containers for their refrigerators.
Our next meeting will be July 10th at the Bellflower Lodge at 11:00 A.M. We hope to see you there.
