to childhood. A host of activities were organized by the teachers to cheer up the students. The highlight of the event was the ramp walk by Pre KG and KG kids in their Bollywood Retro Style outfits.

to watch "Ice Age 2". They were thrilled to hold the movie ticket in their hands and show it to the ticket master upon entry into the theater. Through this fun-filled activity the students learnt theatre etiquettes.

Learning your body parts Our cute little kindergarten kids had a good time learning about different parts of the body. Each student came up and named their body

parts. It was a fun activity and a best way to get our kids engaged in picking up new vocabulary.

Tearing and Pasting Activity

Tearing and pasting activity was meant to intro-

duce the students to the changes in season and at the same time strengthen their motor skills. Chil-dren were asked to tear paper into small bits and paste them in a circle to make branches of

tree.Kids enjoyed arranging pieces of paper in dif-ferent patterns before gluing them. They were happy and proud to see the output of their activity.

Let’s make a zoo and a mini-farm The enthusiasm, the giggles and curious questions of ti-

ny tots motivated the teachers to engage them in creat-ing a zoo and a mini-farm. Kids enjoyed coloring the cut-outs of wild animals and making rabbit by pasting cotton on its picture. The untiring effort of KG-1 and

KG-2 students resulted in an eye-captivating zoo and mini-farm. Students were happy to see their own mini zoo and farm.

Thanksgiving Day Abraham Lincoln asked his fellow citizens ―to set apart and ob-serve the last Thursday of November as a day of thanksgiving

and praise‖. Hence, on this day we express our sincere gratitude for the good harvest and other fortunes bestowed upon us. Our kids enjoyed preparing ―Thanksgiving Day crafts‖ by decorating pictures of turkey. Kids were also briefed with the social value

of thanking people around for the services provided by them.

REPORT ON CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATION

BIS students had a chance to make history by participating in the school level Constitution Day cele-

bration from 21st November to 24th November, 2016. In addition to joining the exciting school-level rec-

itation of the Preamble, Poster making and Essay writing, they took this opportunity to explore the

amazing document that created our system of government.

Though created well over 66 years ago, the Constitution is a living document that continues to evolve

and speak to us today about issues the original Framers could not have imagined. The activities fol-

lowed helped students to know about the creation, content, and ongoing interpretation of the Constitu-

tion—and guided our students to find connections to their everyday lives.

Constitution Day Celebration was observed in Bahrain Indian School under the guidance of ma‘am

Blessy through various inter-class programmes and competitions. The students of Grade IV participated

in the oral recitation of Preamble. Students took this opportunity to know the guiding principles of our

Constitution.

Poster Making was arranged for Grade V and the posters were displayed on Social Science Lab‘s display

boards. Posters spoke about the stellar contribution of members of the Drafting Committee, essence of

our Constitution and even many unknown facts about Indian Constitution.

Calligraphy writing of the Preamble was held for the students of Grade VI & VII. Artistic and creative

writing skills were reflected well while writing down the Preamble on the Calligraphy template sheet

provided.
