L I.S. for Law at UF: Law professionals inspiring students for law school at the University of Florida

Purpose: Increase Awareness and enrollment of minority students in law school.

Mission: To let more predominately underrepresented students learn about the law school admission process and law profession, while strengthening their credentials for law school.

Overview: The mentor program allows students to interact

with students in law school and people in the law profession so they can have a one-on-one interaction with the mentor that best suits their needs. The overall goal of the program is to help more students decide if they really are interested in the law field and increase enrollment.

What has been doneWhat has been doneThese are pictures from the opening ceremony where we admitted 17 new students from a pool of over 60 into the mentoring program. All of the students met the core requirements and exceeded the expectations.
