Hello family and friends, my name is Steven Mitchell and I am a Rudie Nudie team member. Last Thursday the 12th of November the Grade 3/4 Unit had our first Nude Food Lunchbox Day. Students were asked to bring a lunch that is healthy and has no rubbish or wrappers. We saw: *Lots of reusable plastic containers *Lots of reusable ziplock bags *Too many fruit boxes We are looking forward to next Thursday (19/11/15) for our next Nude Food Lunchbox Day where we will hopefully have even less rubbish. T20 Blast Cricket

On Thursday 5th November our Boys cricket team travelled to the Aero Ovals to compete in the T20 Blast Cricket competition. Our first game was against Mildura South 1. They batted first and scored 2/113 while we scored 4/116. We played Mildura West 2 in our second game. We made 132 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Mildura West 2 were in front dur-ing the game however with some great bowling from Bailey, Brayden and Raymond and some fantastic fielding we managed to get 3 wickets and they only made 11 runs in their last 3 overs. Mildura West’s final total was 5/106. In our last game we played Sacred Heart 1. We managed to make a score of 6/78 while Sacred Heart who won the Grand Final scored 3/256. After the round robin games we finished in 8th position. In the final positions game we had to play Ranfurly for the 7th spot. After a slow start from Charlie, Tyrik, Tristan and Villi we finished off with some good hitting from Trey, Brayden and Raymond we managed 3/133. Ranfurly made a solid start but like our second game, good fielding and tight bowling we kept Ranfurly to a score of 3/126. Overall, 3 out of 4 wins for the day was a great effort. Well Done to Charlie, Tristan, Raymond, Tyrik, Villi, Bailey, Raymond and Brayden.

Year 5/6 Girls T20 Blast Cricket 2015 On Thursday 5th November, eight students from Years 5 and 6 competed in the District T20 Blast Cricket compe-tition at the Aero Ovals. The team consisted of Chelsea (6K), Emily (6B), Esmeralda (5/6E), Jmara (6K), Kath-leen (6B), Maylynn (6B), Sahar (6B) and Shelby (5/6E). The girls won their first game against Mildura South, with Mildura scoring 1/130 and Mildura South scoring 5/86. They then played Mildura West A team and there were lots of wickets taken. Mildura lost scoring 4/75 and Mildura West A team scoring 5/95. The third game was against Mildura West B team and it was very close the whole game. We lost scoring 3/88 to Mildura West 4/98. Our teams’ best batting and bowling was in the final game against Trinity. We won scoring 2/133 to Trinity 7/54. Although we did not make the finals, the girls’ enthusi-asm and sportsmanship on the day was admirable. Well done Year 5/6 Girls T20 Blast Cricket team! Miss Johnson
