NEWSLETTER Our School

accepting enrolments for next year. New parents to the school are encouraged to make an appointment to see myself for a tour of the school. Finally, as this is our last newsletter for the term I would like to take the opportunity to wish every-one a safe and enjoyable break and look forward to a productive Term Three.

Message From The Principal

Parent Teacher Interviews A reminder we will be holding our Parent Teacher Interviews from 12:30pm to 6:30pm today. Bookings are essential.

Farewell Ms Muiznieks

Emma Muiznieks will commence family leave early next term. Rebecca Wright will take Prep M for the remainder of the year and has kindly agreed to attend Parent Teacher Interviews to meet the families of Prep M. Please note that Prep M will be known as Prep W. We wish Emma and her partner all the very best on the upcoming birth of their baby.

We welcome Debra Alaalatoa who has been appointed as the new classroom teacher for 1/2 Z. Please note that the grade will be known as 1/2 A. We also welcome Josette Tsouflidis who will be working as Education Support Staff. Both Debra and Josette will be commencing after the school holidays.

End Of Term Dismissal

Just a reminder that students will be dismissed at 2:15pm on Friday 28 June 2019 (last day of Term 2).

Lunch break will be 1:00pm – 1:45pm (Therefore lunch is required on this day)

Assembly will be held at 2:00pm

School will resume on Monday 15 July

Enrolments For Prep 2020

It’s that time of the year where we commence our formal process of enrolments for Prep students commencing school in 2020. Students will need to turn five years of age by 30 April, 2020. If you have a child who will be coming to school for the first time in 2020 please complete an enrolment form, (available from the office or on our website), at your earliest convenience. I would also appreciate it, if parents would let other families in the community know that we are currently

Student Absences

If your child is sick or absent, you are required to notify the school office by 10:30am on the day of absence using one of the following methods:

Online: Use the “Reporting an Absence” link via the school website.

Telephone: Call the school office on 8311 5700 (select option 1) please leave a message stating your child’s name, class, and reason for their absences.

Notifying the school of your child’s absence either prior to, or on the day that they will be away, helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and will fulfil your legal responsibility.

Please remember that it is your responsibility to contact us to provide an explanation for your child’s absence from school, and where possible, please inform us in advance of upcoming absences.
