NRR Power Solution Private Ltd (NRRPSPL) is dedicated to the development of power sector

in India and abroad. The company established in the year 2013 aims to provide consultancy for the

development of both Non Renewable and Renewable Power projects from conceptualisation to

commissioning. The company, with its rich human resource, has capacity to undertake project

execution for green field renewable and conventional fuel source power generation projects.

Understanding that taking solar generation to the door steps of individual households of the

Operation & Maintenance of Solar Power Systems

NRR Power Solution Pvt. Ltd. Provides Operation & Maintenance of Solar Power Systems.

Existing solar power generation systems are provided this off the shelf service with a strong team

of highly domain specific experienced professionals. Expert service technicians ensure quick

support on site and ensure, through regular inspection and qualified data analysis for best

efficiency for each solar system. Tailor made required MIS of reporting, backed by strong software

support, is developed suiting the site specific requirements. O & M service is available from KW

size to MW size solar power plants.

Photovoltaic power plant will only deliver full return on your investment if it runs as smoothly as

possible over its lifetime. As an operator of a solar power plant you also have to comply with

regulations and standards and observe a fixed maintenance schedule with the associated audits.

Moreover, being prepared for risks is crucial: The problem need not be a short circuit in the

inverter station; it might “simply” be a rodent gnawing through a cable or a shadow being

accidentally cast on the modules. The bottom line is that there is a threat of diminished output or

even downtime that could have a permanently negative effect on returns. Failure of individual

components may invalidate a warrantee if certain precautions were not carried out professionally.

Installation & Maintenance of Solar Water Heater

NRRPSPL installs & maintain the solar water heating system with the right technology, features

and capacity to ensure a long term reliable and smooth operation of the system. Installation of the

solar water heater in the right manner, suitable for the specific site conditions is very important for

optimal performance of the system.

NRRPSPL installs both Flat plate collector and Evacuated tube collector. Solar Water heater

collects solar radiation and converts solar energy into heat energy for heating water. Performance

of ETC and FPC based solar water heater systems varies with location, seasons and many other

external factors.

Operation & Maintenance of Wind Power Plant

Proper Management of operating wind farms is critical to maximising returns from a wind farm

investment. Besides day to day management of the wind farm, the O&M Manager will seek to pro-

actively extract every possible hour of availability from the turbines. Many wind farm owners are

investment consortiums, who have no intention of taking a hands-on approach to managing the

operation of their wind farm. The O&M of a wind farm varies from site to site, and the scope

usually tailored to suit the needs of the wind farm owner. If the owner views the wind farm asset

purely as an investment, it may wish to see no more than a monthly production and budget

statement. Owners who have a more substantial portfolio of generation facilities may take on the

day to day management themselves, and engage assistance for specialized services only.

The primary aim of wind farm operations and maintenance is to minimise the production costs per

unit of energy generated over the life of the asset. Broadly, this is achieved by:

improving turbine performance/yield

lowering insurance risk

protecting assets

(i) Site Management

The scope of a operation and maintenance contract may extend beyond generating plant to

include the entire wind farm site including access tracks, auxiliary buildings and electrical

infrastructure.

(ii) Liaison

Liaison is a key role in managing an operational wind farm. The O&M Manager is the

conduit for communications between the wind farm owner, turbine manufacturer,

maintenance contractors, inspectors, land owners, neighbours, authorities and emergency

services.

(iii)Response To Site Issues

Events which may require immediate response include reports of trespassers, accidents or

vandalism on site.

(iv) Site Inspections

Although modern data systems mean that a full time presence on wind farm sites is not

necessary, regular and thorough inspections of the balance of wind farm infrastructure is a

must. This includes inspection of gates, fences, access tracks, signage, met masts and

electrical infrastructure.

(v) Health & Safety

A Health & Safety Management Plan, incorporating risk assessments, method statements

and procedures, must be created and maintained for the life of the wind farm. This

document is usually tailored to comply with the wind farm owner’s own health and safety

policies. Health and safety auditing of contractors should be carried out on occasion and

regular inspection of on site safety equipment should be conducted regularly.

Generating Plant

Response To Alarms

O & M will have to take care of response times to alarms, 24 hours per day, 7 days per

week. Depending on the alarm, a local or remote reset may be necessary, or technicians

may be asked to attend site for a diagnosis.

Inspections

Inspection of wind turbines should be conducted on a regular basis, usually at three

monthly intervals. The inspection is not just visual in nature. An abnormal sound or

unfamiliar smell can provide tell-tale signs that something is amiss with the mechanical

plant. The nacelle should be checked carefully for oil leakage or any other indicators that

may suggest an imminent problem.

Repairs And Maintenance

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring scheduled maintenance is carried out.

Typically, the Operations Manager will engage a contractor to perform all servicing and

repairs of the turbines and it is important that a close relationship be maintained with these

parties. Service contractors should be given adequate notice of impending scheduled

maintenance.

Non-scheduled repairs and maintenance must be carried out swiftly and in times of low

wind to minimise loss of production.. Most trip events or breakdowns of turbines occur in

strong winds, meaning that every 1% of loss in availability could mean a significantly

higher loss in production. Prompt assessment, organisation and supervision of the work is

therefore of utmost importance.

To reduce the potential for extended downtime due to lead time in obtaining spares, the

O&M Manager may be asked to advise on and maintain an inventory of spares on site,

particularly if the wind farm is located in a remote area.

Reporting

From the enormous amount of data collected on the databases of modern wind farms, the

O&M Manager must extract what is most relevant to the wind farm owner and present the

information in a concise, readable form. Monthly and annual reports are the norm.

Energy Efficiency:

Energy efficiency is "using less energy to provide the same service". National Mission on

Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE) envisages 714 energy intensive industries to reduce their

Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) in a given time frame of three years under Perform, Achieve

& Trade (PAT) scheme. NRR Power Solution proposes to help its clients to analyse their specific

energy consumption, prepare an action plan to reduce their SEC to meet given benchmark under

PAT, prepare financial models and cost benefit analysis for investment required vs. cost of

purchasing Energy Saving Certificates (ESCerts).

REC and CDM Approval:

In January 2010, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) announced Regulation on

Terms and Conditions for recognition and issuance of Renewable Energy Certificate for

Renewable Energy Generation. According to this regulation, a generating company involved in

electricity generation from renewable sources of energy will be eligible to get Renewable Energy

Certificate (REC) for their each 1 MW (1000 unit) of generation.

Energy Audit

The objective of energy audit is to provide solution for the efficient management of each form of

energy. We have an expert team of accredited energy auditors from BEE with different

backgrounds like Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation who not only conduct the audit

survey but also train users in key energy oriented functional areas so that energy is utilized most

efficiently. Our efforts are targeted to reflect savings of fuel and electricity in the actual energy

bill. The systems we provide live up to standards of operation accepted worldwide and our training

programs are intended to help our clients to improve the quality of operations such that wastages

are almost totally eliminated.

Operation & Maintenance of Solar Power Plant

NRRPSPL is also providing operation & maintenance of solar power plant at government

jails at 126 locations in Madhya Pradesh.The job is to provide operation & maintenance of

solar power plant ranging from 2KW system to 10 KW system installed in each jail across

Madhya Pradesh.Our Operation & Maintenance Engineers maintain these solar PV rooftop

power plant in healthy condition.

The manpower in Madhya Pradesh are B.Tech & MBA. The Madhya Pradesh has been

divided into four zones Gwalior, Bhopal, Jabalpur & Indore.Each zone has one

Maintenance engineer whose qualification is B.Tech. So there are four Engineers and one

State Manager. The qualification of state manager is B.Tech & MBA (Power). The Team

of Maintenance Engineers & State Manager is keeping the solar power plant healthy. This

project is outsourced to NRRPSPL from Waaree Energies Ltd.

NRRPSPL had provided operation & Maintenance of OFF grid connected solar power

plant of 120KW in Seema Suraksha Bal campus, Srinagar, Utrakhand.

NRRPSPL is also providing operation & maintenance of grid connected solar power plant

of 2 MW at in Chattisgarh. A major aspect of the O&M is to continuous monitoring of the

performance of the plant and all of its primary subsystems, This enables performance to be

compared with the anticipated output under the climatic conditions actually experienced. It

also provides data to enable the scheduling of both rectification and preventative

maintenance.
